Sword of the Archangel Michael, something completely different when it comes to silver. 2.5 oz silver in a fantastic intricate mintage in ultra high relief and fine antique finish. The handle of the sword is skilfully designed with decorations and angel wings. The angel's sword symbolises divine power, the victory of good over evil and protection from dark forces. I have to thank @James32 for this lovely 2003 half Britannia and box, my favourite design of any coin. I must also thank Mr.A. who bought it for me 🥳
I already had the other two coins and have made a set.

2017 Fiji (Scottsdale Mint) 1oz Silver: Hokusai - The Great Wave
Freed from the OMP and capsule, this looks so much better.  You can really see the various textures, and is a great advert for photographing coins outside of capsules if at all possible.
I have included two different lighting setups.  I prefer the first, but the second almost looks like a different coin.

Some more coins arrived today. The Mary Gillick Sovereign run. I need to invest in a decent camera.

I seem to be on a bit of a roll with 1/4oz Brits, todays arrivals from @shawy2510 🙏

Today I took 2 sovereigns and the Turkish republic gold coin I had to a gold shop in İzmir. I exchanged 21 grams AGW for this 20.08g 22ct bracelet and 2000 lira, (£48) as is Turkish culture to give the bride. 
There are two, the first one is from me, the other is from her parents. The premium for the craftsmanship was very low. I'm surprised I got as much as I did for the sovs, considering they had to search up "büyük Britanya altın". They quoted about £40 over spot for the lot, which I'm more than happy with as I didn't need to pay anything else for the bracelet. 
The first shop we went to, they offered me 4000 lira less. Their way of testing gold was simply to drop it from about a foot, repeatedly. Then, they asserted that my Turkish coin (which I got from Auronum, so of course it's genuine) wasn't 22ct because it didn't sound the same to him as the sovereigns. My face went red as they dropped poor minty coronation and memorial Chuck onto the desk repeatedly.
The second place we went to used acid to test them. The shops have hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of gold in, yet none of them have a sigma equivalent or XRF machine.
 
 

I couldn’t resist - high premium but in the SDB it goes for a long time in the future. Wish I’d bought one two years ago! 😂

Finally arrived. Been after this one for quite some time. Not many of the 1990's proofs have achieved a 70 according to the NGC census.

Doesn’t really matter what spot price is doing when you are able to addle a little gold to the stack!
Half carded memorial sov nicely tipped my gold stack to a smidge over 100g of pure gold 😊

Hello my dear collector friends, today two tubes of silver. Rectangle Dragon from the Perth Mint from 2021 and the Vienna Philharmonic from 2020, 20 pieces each. The Vienna ones are still sealed and I will not open this tube. Have a nice Sunday, everyone. Kind regards from Maxe.

I've been playing around with this today.  Will be very useful documenting the condition of coins and identifying defects.  Not the prettiest photos, but at this scale no speck of dust goes unseen.
