More than likely i think - might end up like just another RM release this Great Engravers series - now the Una/Graces/Gothic hype doesn't seem to be there so much, as society dont seem to have a receptacle to urinate into

@timsk I understand your concerns mate. It can be rather frustrating. Particularly when you join the queue early, play by the rules and are just unlucky to miss out.
I would say we’re all in the same water. Those that paddle hardest tend to have the most success. 
There are few tricks and manoeuvres that can help you but it mostly comes down to luck…
 
The timetable offers no help in preparing for release days. It’s just a rough guide that is subject to inevitable delays. It has at least provided the correct order so far. The months will likely get more inaccurate as the series goes on, with no guarantee of RM even sticking to it at all. They have been pretty close so far though.

I joined this series from the start, fully aware that it’s unlikely to get all 21 coins. Hopefully just have some fun along the way.

 Each Monarch since the Inaugural Sixpence issue.
Notable absences is a Phillip & Mary Sixpence (substituted here with a Mary Groat) and also a William & Mary, neither of which I have been able to source an example I would be happy with, the former will be a difficult gap to fill.  In terms of a Cromwell issue, I've resigned myself that it would be beyond my resources to ever acquire that Sixpence.  
I will in time add a nice example Hammered Elizabeth I and a Charles II- and I would like to add Proof George III & George IV example's well as a Proof William IV issue.  
What I've learnt: Sixpences are a difficult denomination to source in better grade!  The House of Stuart, particularly the Charles I period is the most interesting in terms of Coinage and Types of coinage.  
What I need to learn:  to take time and have more patience in curating a collection of this type.
Hope you enjoy taking a look at these Sixpence Types as much as I have enjoyed collecting them.

Ah thanks. I also see it’s a 2022 coin, so imo it’s quite normal to have QE II’s effigy on the obverse despite her  having passed away.

I’ve decided I’ll get the silver proof 50p closer to December. Nice to be able to postpone making a decision about paying and not deal with FOMO.

Agreed. I bought some trainers recently, partly because they were very limited. I wear them and it's not something I would ever sell (who would want my smelly trainers).
Same applies to coins. There isn't anything "special" about owning something that is ten a penny.
Surely we all want those limited/hard to get coins in our collections ?

For me the Gold 50p had to be a realistic low mintage, 400-600 if the mintage is going to be high I won’t be buying……but this is a secondary issue, as we won’t have this information until Monday, so I will try and buy and see what happens…….I’m still waiting for my 1kg silver Gothics
