  1. @mazdaq Worth checking the fees for keeping positions open with your provider? Another option to consider could be vaulted silver something like this although not something I've done myself https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/vat-free-storage/
  2. 2 sold most recently sold on eBay £1650 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203910585779?hash=item2f7a049db3:g:qkkAAOSwDpRiVGG7 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115314021802?hash=item1ad94055aa:g:18IAAOSw435iQExv
  3. Had a good service from them before but not dealt with them recently
  4. Build a stack of physical and leave it in or vault it near your 2nd house?
  5. Maybe an auction on here would work if you do want to sell? Could try a couple rather than the whole lot in one go potentially?
  6. Nice coins. Not my typical purchase but @DuncanWylieWilson might know someone who's after that kind of thing
  7. Bullion coins yes. I'm not taking tubes of coins and going jogging they are in the tube and in a vault, unless in an earthquake they're not moving around a great deal Proof coins tend to be encapsulated in special boxes. Don't remove those and put in tubes unless you want to potentially lose any premium
  8. They are out there. The typical sov capsules are about 30mm outer diameter (the push together type not the threaded screw together type) so you could get a 30mm tube to out capsulated sovs in. I've done this for shields and a few special years but mostly just naked bullion sovs in the tubes

    Scam

Yeah best off without it I reckon. I sold a couple of accounts that I had about 2 years ago never looked back. Sell or delete and go outside 👍🏼
  10. The diameter is greater on a double to w full compared to the difference between a half and full I think is where we're going right 🤣
  11. @1stsovereign or @SVcollector might be worth asking?
  12. For 10 X 2022 Brit Tavex cheapest by a decent margin then Atkinson's and Chards are close but Chards a few quid more expensive. If you aren't bothered about the year or type of 1 Oz coin it might be different
  13. I'd try Tavex or HGM usually good prices and service
  14. It was a 38.xx mm diameter in 2013 compared to 32.xx mm they use now. I think 2013 was the first year of 999.9 for the Britannia
  15. I had a really good service from Tavex UK on new 2022 sovs. Their payment system is currently being rebuilt or updated. The current one worked fine with one of my banks but not with another for some reason. It was discussed in another thread somewhere. The prices they had for 2022 sovs was lower than I could find best value sovs from other dealers.
  16. A tube of silver Brits dangling from each ear?
  17. Those are 2 reputable dealers yes. I've used both before but tend to go to Atkinson's more often. Usually dealers show their quantity discounts on the websites. I don't expect you'd get a better rate by emailing them but I guess you could try. You could also consider a cost averaging approach and buy over a period of months say 2 Oz at a time rather than all in one go to gain exposure to more price points should the price fall in the coming months. It depends what you're buying and how many as to who is cheapest ... one dealer might be cheaper for a single coin the other might be cheaper for multiple. 👌🏽
  18. Might be a bargain in a decade or two
  19. Maybe removing them from the capsule and handling them isn't an option but if you flip a copper nickel coin or some other metal it makes a different sound to a silver 50% and different again to a 92.5% coin
  20. @Stacktastic Silver-to-go or gold silver.be would be ones I've used in the past. Always had a good quick service in the past. Europa sound good too and friends have used them, I've not personally though. Auragentum has been recommended also by a friend in Europe though he says silver premiums are high so has only ordered gold from them and some fancy silver coins this year.
  21. Definition. Proof : a copy (as of typeset text) made for examination or correction A: a coin that is struck from a highly polished die on a polished planchet, is not intended for circulation, only minor scratches and if silver only moderate milk spotting Definition. Bullion: a coin that looks like it was kicked down the road all the way from Llantrisant to Blackpool
  22. Any number of pieces at the 30% premium
