Found some tubes that fit sovs in capsules and happen to be with a couple of mm for the size of my box. 20 sovs to a tube and I can fit 7 tubes in the box. Basic bullion sovs I just put in the RM tubes without capsules so I could easily fit 5 of these plus 4 RM sov tubes.

Wire brush and a tin of Brasso will do the trick.

A question @LawrenceChard With inflation, operating costs for many businesses and individuals rise, are we likely to see increasing premiums on coins generally as buyers, as dealers are met with higher bills? If a dealer has a 5% spread say on £100k of sales today, their £5k margin would be covering less bills and expenses than it did in the past. I appreciate if gold price rises then selling the same oz of gold (call it 280 sovs) today might be keeping up with inflation automatically?

I'd rather loose coins (or a basic capsule) but makes a nicer presentation for a gift etc all packaged up. I'd pay a pound or two more perhaps but not 15

Made my first purchase from the mint directly yesterday. Seems like a faff having to deposit money in the wallet then pay from that compared to just being able to pay like a normal dealer. We will see how long it takes to arrive. I can see why that payment style combined with queing would put people off using them and that's without considering the amount of people I've heard having issues with proof coins (mostly the silver ones) recently.

I think after a while you get a feel for what prices are normal. When I'm buying, whilst price is important I'd usually wait for certain sellers or dealers to sell unless it's a particular coin. Just easier than setting up a new payee etc. I might ignore a single sov from a new seller that's £5 cheaper than a bunch of nice ones from one of the established dealers on here. As an occasional seller I always try to price items I sell below a dealers price, I'll check 2 or 3 to make sure but sometimes a dealer will have a sale the next day. If there isn't much info I might check eBay prices or search the forum for recent sales
