Ebay sellers fees work out roughly 13-14% in total. I sell on there regularly (not metals).

Yes, after I had posted I saw that you'd used one of those deals. Anyway, the usual fees are around 14% when all told, and that's what I normally end up paying as I list when I can, rather than when there's an offer.

never use ebay if I'm paying full fees, not worth it, and i get an offer every two weeks generally without fail, so I just list when the offer is on, if not I wait

Hmm, I seem to get them infrequently. Do you use the 'app'? I use the browser/desktop version, maybe the offers target the app users more as I do feel they're by far the favoured customer.
It doesn't help that I'm inherently suspicious of 'deals' & 'offers'.

I made a 'break even calculator' for microsoft excel if you want it mate? Tells you what you need to sell something for to break even, compared to 80% fees or 70% fees. You input your cost of item and cost of postage. I created it when I was drunk and fancied doing some helpful algebra lol

I put one of the 1g bars on for auction as an experiment with a £55.00 starting bid, its over the RM price now so all good with 14 watchers and 5 bidders so far..

I'm still waiting on mine too. 

I'll be disappointed if they don't arrive on time for a birthday present for a family member. 

But knowing The Royal Mint they will still be 4/5weeks away. 

Dispatch within 1-3 days apparently. 😅🤦

I phoned the twats Royal Mint on Saturday and asked them how come I know dozens of people who ordered after me and already got their bars while mine are still stuck "in progress". I got pushback saying that's impossible. Hmm, not sure about that mate unless everybody here and in TIR is using photoshop. I was told they would check with another department, supplies or inventory or whatever, and see. I'm told the bars are there ready for dispatch and they should be with me "early next week". Grand. Still no dispatch notice, still stuck "in progress". If they don't arrive before Christmas I will be raging as they are presents
