I did Lloyds but their offer has finished now, currently First direct offer £175 and nationwide £200 ( but I had nationwide already so I opened an extra one with them in order to use it to get the Lloyds cash without disrupting my normal banking set up.

just remember that you can’t get a bonus if you use banks within the same group so for example Lloyds and Halifax or hsbc and first direct.

the nationwide 8% regular saver is great.

Turned down a session in town yesterday so the money I would have "wasted" on beer and curry has gone into the precious metals pot. And I had a couple of very small ebay sales this week and a tiny bit of cashback.
