3.33 grams

10,000 mintage and rare

The Newfoundland 2-dollar coin was issued in intermittent years between 1865 and 1888. It was the only circulation gold coin issued by a British colony. Although few coins were issued, it was broadly used in Newfoundland and eastern Canada. The coin became scarce in 1894 because of hoarding following the collapse of Newfoundland's banks and monetary system.

Safe AU55 possibly AU58 in my opinion maybe even low MS it's not been circulated as you can see

If it got low MS it would be a £1,000 coin more than likely just can't be arsed with grading

This sale is painful! 😂

@AndrewTurner, did you see Leon's reply?

I guess most folk just look at the price and divide it by the gold weight.

Perhaps this needs grading to find its audience @Leonmarsh?

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.
