@LawrenceChard is probably your man

Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

Do gillick head sovereigns have colour variances? I have only seen them with a copper like tone but I have come across one that is more similar in colour to older Edward VII. I can easily pick the sovereign by eye out when next to the others.

Yes there have been one or two noticed by various people that haven't been shown to be fake. Until these have been fully tested, we can't be sure.

Sure, the 1957 fake ones sold by St. James Auctions are more yellow.

😎

I think Gillicks are not as red as recent years, but I do not know why, and I have not actually tried to do an objective side-by-side comparison.

If some have traces of silver, this may affect the colour, even at below 1 ppt, but more study needed.

I keep trying to retire, but keep finding more projects!

This one came from HGM so I assume it was tested. It is on weight and nothing else looks amiss other than the colour being out of the ordinary.

They say they test them by XRF and I have no reason to question this. No idea what their acceptable limits are but if the weight and size are spot on, should be genuine.
