Hello from Ireland

Hi everyone.

Just getting started collecting silver, have been collecting coins for a while and have a couple of 925 Olympic coins that keep shining back at me.

My plan is to buy 1 x 1oz silver coins, rounds and bars for the next 15-20 years because I enjoy it and it'll be a bit of saving for a rainy day.

If anyone from Ireland is here and wants to part with coins or bars let me know as I know it will be hard for me to keep costs down if I'm only buying a few a month but it is what it is and its fun?.

Welcome!

15-20 years is exactly the right timeline to be investing in precious metals, although your timing appears to be fortunate, depending on which way you look at, in that we may be at the start of a new bull market. Who knows! Just be careful with the premiums and delivery costs they can really eat into your capital invested, especially when buying single coins. If its just for fun and not investment then fill your boots. :)

I always thought mondy41 was a pleasant chap and his prices were reasonable. A lot of guys were put off because of the lack of insurance from Ireland...which is not your problem :-)

Cheers Roy - where is the emoticons blush - it's a pity about insurance from Ireland I admit however I have been selling on Ebay since 2004 and have not lost a package anywhere with anpost tracking - sold mainly Irish banknotes and Britsh Armed Forces banknotes up to last year.
