Well, that was a strong rally to end the weeks trading. Gained 24p this afternoon.

 

Think this will giver everyone a positive start Monday? Might do, could well be back over £12 next week, even close to £13 by close. Interesting times. (But then, aren't they always! lol)

After the election when the conservatives get in an increase in VAT plus a crack down on non-VAT imports. 

 

The first part will happen 22.5%. the second part the conservatives will try to make happen by calling everyone a tax dodger, this is nonsense but will make there corporate friends in London happy as the spot light is taken off them.

why is silver swinging wildly between £11.30 and £11.80  seems to break no higher and seems to break no lower  has done this all this week with wierd swings

I know the feeling i was preparing to buy bit of gold then i  received big Tax bill. Now i got to wait at least one moth. In meantime i hope gold and silver price will drop

Yeah January is always NO precious metals month for me  

 

I dont know why it is, but i have from April last year, I just need an hour or so out of my day to submit my self assessment and i put it off and put it off and put it off

 

I think every year bar none in the past ten year it has been submitted between the 20th and 31st on January

According to some clever bods I follow in a traders group the rising GSR has ended and silver is up from here even if gold declines. I thought I'd make a purchase just in case their right.

GSR can't end. It is a ratio of the price of silver against gold, and that ratio will always exist. I am not aware of any formal link between the two which can be 'ended'? So not sure exactly what you have read, but the bods are not sounding that clever at the moment!?

Someone is trying to buy a load of silver on Bullion Vault. Normally each price has a couple of hundred ounces waiting to be bought. Just noticed that there is someone trying to buy blocks of 13,500 ounces, 2,700 and 3,500 

 

Very Strange........ not noticed these sort of figures before. Maybe the big players think we are on a low at the moment

 

update, there are 16,153 ounces of silver waiting to be bought at £11.20

I'm holding for sub $16, I expect to be buying Silver in February. Totally expected.

I bought yesterday at £11.10 caught the dip but it went a little lower today. 

 

Some you win some you lose, if it gets to £10 an ounce then I will buy at least 100 ounces. 

 

That will bring the average down even more.
