I've got to say, I'm getting totally confused by all the varieties (not just of this release) that the Royal Mint is producing.
It looks as if the most desirable varieties of today's coins were held back for later!

One thing I will add, I have always thought that if you ever get to be in a position to have to worry about and pay capital gains tax then you are in a really good position and there are worse things to be worried about in life!

My 1oz Gold arrived this morning, the forum seems to have been down a lot lately so just catching up on the thread on this one...
I was on the site by chance when it was released, took a chance on this as I really liked the design but havn't collected any others in the series.

My money is still on the Royal Albert Hall domed coins (gold and silver).
The web page says "Coming soon" and states:
The first UK coin to feature a convex surface, elevating the intricate details of the design So this would classify as a first (when it is released, but whether it is tomorrow, I do not know).

Bought a couple of the 1oz bars from the mint today. Hate paying VAT, but love the design - especially the background swirlyness... would love a 10oz, but just cant justify the cost.
