Happy 2-year stacking anniversary to me!! I have not missed a month, and the spreadsheet now says 1395oz silver and 1.5oz gold.
Added 38oz today, mainly Perth Mint stuff. I do love their coins, and will continue to stack their stuff heavily going forward. I was recently inspecting some of my the coins I have acquired, and IMO the Perth Mint stuff is by some margin the best. The designs are classy, I love the frosted finish on the Lunar coins, and all they come in plastic cases which offers another layer of protection. None of them have any blemishes whatsoever.
The other coins I love are Libertads, which imo are classically beautiful, but I have far fewer Libertads than I do Lunars and Kooks.

We've seen a very decent bounce in spot prices over the last 2 weeks.
Wouldn't surprise me if we gave up some of those gains, such is the up 'n down nature of this phase of the market, but it looks like we've made a nice "higher low" which is all consistent with building a solid base for an eventual move higher. The GSR has also pulled back a bit, though silver still could still have a bit of short term upside in this respect.
Feeling a lot happier that I picked up a bigger than usual order last month.

Put in my final purchase for 2017 for 25oz of silver.
That takes me to 523oz accumulated in 2017, and a total of 1325oz.
I also have 1oz of gold.

Will have additional financial commitments next year but I think I should be able to add roughly another 500oz or whatever the equivilent in gold is the GSR moderates back to a level I'm happy to buy at. Bring on the zombie apocalypse!

Are there any common or garden variety stackers still around? Or have you all progressed to slabbed numismatic collecting snobs?
I only ask because, well because basic silver is very cheap at the moment, but judging by the posts on this thread nobody gets excited unless it comes in a case and has a mintage in single figures..

(I just bought my monthly 20-something ounces of boring silver FWIW).

I stack and collect. So yes.
They have different strategies but I aim to have 2500 governmental coins by April.
** Also a lot of people who buy from me buy purely just governmental coins. Some by the coin some by the tube.

Silver very cheap in GBP right now. My spreadsheet doesn't lie -shows I just bought my cheapest batch since June 2016.

Don't let short term price fluctuations change your big-picture view.
If gold was undervalued last week then it is still undervalued this week, no matter what the price may have done.
The worst thing you can do is to agonise over every price movement, holding off in the hope that the price dips, then buying then getting angry that it keeps falling, then holding off and being too afraid to buy more because it is still falling, then cursing because it is going up and you didn't pull the trigger, etc etc.
    You see how this works?
Markets are mechanisms that do a wonderful job of transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient. Have an accumulation strategy so that you aren't put off by short term fluctuations, then go and execute it.
