Awesome photos and great little coins these ducats are, just be aware that 1882 20 lire are the usual .900 gold, so less than .986 ducat gold.

Hello. I was playing at making jewellery and thought it would be a good idea to buy a big blob of silver, as buying wire and sheet is way over spot price, I was planning on turning a kilo bar into wire and sheet, it turned out it's actually pretty hard to turn a bar into wire without a lot of kit so i started playing about with casting. I take bits of lino (for lino printing) and carve them into coin shapes then cast them. You end up with some kind of pirate treasure, I've got friends and family to carve lino, cast them for momentos and a bit of a laugh. 
Anyway I'm just here to say hello and that I'm after some fine silver for casting as close to spot as possible.

Its been a while since ive posted any photos of my progress on here, but here is what I have been up to lately, some of my new silver bar pours.

Well, I had my display name changed from SilverGlutton (which was just plain ugly) to 
SilverToday which I find more suitable for all of us lol. Anyhow, a few days back I bought
a 2024 proof-like 1/10oz Gold Niue Phoenix Coin that I showcased here at TSF and I really liked the 
design but ohhh so hard to see well enough so I decided to buy the 1oz Gold version which I received yesterday.
Of coarse everyone's coins in their stack/collection look much better in hand and so does this 1oz Gold Niue lol.
I can't say enough of just how attractive this proof-like 2024 1oz Gold Niue Phoenix Coin with frosted relief really is.
Truly remarkable imo. And the fact it's production was limited to only 10k pieces makes it even sweeter.
Compared to the pix below the Gold color is much more pronounced in hand. 
 
 

Got this last week 2017 Jersey Platinum Proof five pound, put a picture with the Platinum one pound which is the same size as a Sovereign for comparison £1 = 7.98g and the £5= 39.94g so same ratio with regards to sovereign and quintuple.
The mix is different with these being 995
Love the QEII and Philip Obverse.

2013 BU Sovereign - Struck on the Day - 60th Anniversary of the Coronation
Picked this up to add to my SotD collection.  It has some pebble dash unfortunately, but was a good price and you don't see too many around.

Picked up a sizable collection of coins today. There's a few gems hiding amongst a lot of plated copper, this being my favourite 😍
Needs closer inspection to see how good she is beneath the capsule
