  1. It would be easy to Google this, but I like to think I’m not the only ignoramus on the forum......so please tell more and we can all benefit!! What’s the difference and how do you know (aside from the NGC label!!!)
  2. I have a feeling that this is what happened. They just put 100 for each in error. Good spot!
  3. I can confirm that I now receive emails really quickly. I used to get emails about listings, get excited and then click through to see the listing had completed. These days, since the upgrade, I get instant messages and have even (crazy, I know) been quick enough to buy from Arshimo!!!!!
  4. Yes, this has been expected as the entire set was in 2oz and 10oz silver bullion as well as the proofs releases. I think a 10oz bullion version will be a lovely coin and absolutely affordable.
  5. I asked yesterday afternoon over email. My AM usually replies a few days after I ask questions and that works well for me so I won’t chase. I will update when I hear back. I have a feeling they may not be able to say as it could be the usual commercial sensitive issue.
  6. There have been silver proofs on sale here. I think @HerefordBullyun had one for sale at a good price.
  7. Account managers are offering these coins to customers. This is not a trade only offering. I don’t know who you spoke with but they were not being clear about what is actually happening. Sorry to read this and it is disappointing that there is conflicting information being shared.
  8. I would buy a tube of chocolate sovereigns! In all seriousness that is a great idea for Christmas!
  9. If Kuenker want to send me the coin and a small fee, I am happy to give an opinion for them. I would also need them to pay for me to spend a few decades studying sovereigns full time, immersing myself to be able to give that opinion. I hope everyone can wait till 2045 (ish) for the news? Otherwise it’s just more and more silly chocolate coin jokes........ Kuenker, you know where to find me.
  10. How does this happen!? It hasn’t been sent out so cannot be returns. Presume it is just people who have ordered changing their minds and cancelling.
  11. Thanks for this. It is interesting that it is advertised as a ‘maximum coin mintage’ with no reference to specific presentation etc. Presume therefore that there ARE only 100 of these. If LPM are offering 650, then it is clearly A different coin/mint. Update on the gold: I won’t be able to get one as I have been told they are all sold out. Not sure if the silver proof will be offered online or not. Not clear. Probably will be like the larger Three Graces (e.g. 10oz).
  12. A 5p in bronze!!! This is a great find! Thanks for sharing. Love it.
  13. Agreed, but note that the mintmark is not the only distinguishing feature. Some also have a little line around the edge of the coin where the gold paper meets to cover the chocolate. I fear this coin would not survive the bite test.
  14. News from PCGS - after three and a half months (!) The 5oz Three Graces (Silver Proof) I sent in for grading received a PR69 DCAM! Ah well. You win some, you lose some..... Coming to an auction near you soon!
  15. Most likely. I think so. Just because of the LPM position/connection, I think.
  16. Not sure about gold yet. I have asked. Waiting to hear back. Have a feeling I won’t get the gold! If I do, I will just be selling on to someone who really wants it at cost plus a small handling fee given the risks involved.
  17. I am a little confused as the Royal Mint advertised the 2oz as having a mintage of 100 during the initial release and have confirmed this same mintage last week. It is clearly stated that the mintage is 100. Do they mean a mintage of 100 in a special presentation? Will the presentation be different for the LPM and Royal Mint releases? Otherwise how are they able to state that the mintage is 100? Confused! Also, is anyone interested in the 2oz gold? Just the silver??

    Priced in gold

Sorry to read this. I guess all good things come to an end. Thanks for all the analysis etc. on the GGP thread. That was appreciated. By the way, loving the elastic band analogy @GoldenGriffin. Hope the motor made it though!
  19. Sounds like you need the 5oz version, sir! That is a banging coin.
  20. I would agree but my understanding is that it will be the same size as the 1oz...but a piedfort. A bit like the 5oz and 10oz Three Graces. If it is a wider surface area (like the incredible 2oz Silver Proof Krugerrand) then it could be stunning.
  21. Anyone think there is much interest in a coin that is minted in this way? It’s the only 2oz silver proof of the series. What is the view on cost in the market? Do the background factors (mintage and size etc.) make it desirable or avoidable?!
  22. Curious that they produce a coin and yet have a limited mintage for sale. Very interesting! I wonder what the business decision or thinking is on that...
  23. Did you grade that yourself? Kudos if so, that’s a lovely coin. I’m currently working on grading some old heads...the first one was sent off this week! Exciting times.
