  1. Hi, Quick question - as I'm new to this site I was wondering how the purchases work as in how would I know I would receive the item if I paid for it. Thanks in advance.
  2. Oh yeah I've just checked and never noticed them really before. All mine look good but that's great to know for future reference. Cheers.
  3. Thanks for the information it's much appreciated and yeah I will just try to get used to everything before applying for membership. I also have silver Krugerrands but because I've only been collecting them since last October I am looking to different years, so I have them all once. I do have others but I'm wondering which to start collecting next. I've looked at the Germania coins which look nice but so far all of my are British minted at the Royal mint except one other I have.
  4. Hi, thanks for the offer but I'm not really looking to pay that much. Thanks for letting me know though.
  5. Hi, it's actually 2016 I need not 2017, my mistake. So just to be clear it's 2014,2015 and 2016. Yeah that would be great if you could let me know when your posting. Thanks
  6. Hi, I'm new to this site and I would like to buy some Silver 1oz Britannia coins. I am looking for 2014,2015 and 2017. Thanks in advance. Like I said I'm new so I am not sure if this is where I would post to ask. Any information would be helpful. I've tried to have a look round but it seems a premium membership would be better but I'm just testing it out first to see how it all works. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the advice to both, I have tried the sliding magnet technique and it passed that so that has put my mind at rest. I have looked into the gravity test and that is useful to know also. I did this to all my coins and luckily all are good. I will use a recommended seller in future for all purchases. Most of my coins are bought from them but I did purchase a couple of eBay buy like I said luckily they were fine too. Cheers for the advice, much appreciated.
  8. Yes I am using the cheaper scales so that probably solves that. I do have a small neodymium magnet which I have ordered. I have used a normal magnetic in all my coins and they are not magnetic but I will try again with this better one I have ordered. I have had a quick look into the magnetic/slide test and noticed they use large magnetics and slide the coin down. Could be a stupid question but would it work to do it the other way round and use a small magnet and see if it slides down the coin slower?

  10. I was wondering if it usual for my silver Britannia coins to weigh slightly over 31.21? Mine seem to vary upwards to 31.39. Is this normal or is something wrong about them? Does everyone else's weigh exactly 31.21 as it states they should be? Thanks in advance
