Ahh that is a special piece, well done, it would be interesting to see what a grading company can do with it. I have a much less impressive example of a recovered shipwrecked piece of silver in the form of a 2014 quarter Oz Brittania from the SS Gairsoppa that submarine torpedoed and sank in 1941 off the south coast of Ireland and was rediscovered in 2011, please excuse poor photos

it's a shame they never produced a 1 oz one, it makes my 1oz britannia collection look lopsided.

They are minted pieces of metal.  Collectible, yes.  Investments, maybe yes.  Coins, no.  I love how they place a nominal value on these things like you are going to buy groceries with them in pinch.  No, they are in no way coins and may not hold any value in the future, but if you like em, buy em and enjoy.

The planet I posted had a twin I bought for $800..it was the first in the set, I swapped it for a full album of Indian head cents then sold just two of the coins for $2350 so yes can be profitable, I got the set of earth and beyond together for under $800 and sold for $1800...my set of starters chibies cost $1600 but sell for over $3000.

If this is part of a cycle, I'm going to wait for the Wakanda Panther. Especially while they're still manipulating the Vibranium price.  ;)

Joking apart, I love stuff like this being shown off. The sheer variety of what's out there is mind-boggling!

me too...it's the second in a set of thus type, I'll get the other soon but i have ultra high relief coins like warrior women, isle of man, real heroes, silver chibies, planet earth spheres then a silver ladle with baleen handle and a coin inserted in the base to show it paid taxes...I love the unusual, all legal tender in some back of the cupboard place like niue, tchad, barbados

I traded that boomerang bounce yesterday perfectly. My timing was fortunate. I will keep trading any corrections on my IG account as we are in an uptrend now.

Is $2000 a baseline now for gold? Cos recent downward smashes have amounted to little. Incidentally, I hear Blackstone is in trouble and their clients can't get their money out.

People are moving money around banks right now, they are holding g/s for nkw, still hard to come by and suppliers are on three week fills for orders of metal, premiums are horrendous, even buy back are over $12 above spot for eagles...unless suppliers reduce their premium it's going to hold high..the gang of 16 holds the metals high right now, it's down to Silvertown to sell more planchettes to the mint to reduce premiums and price of eagles...is that going to happen?...not likely.

Crude just had a gap up on the open of the market, it would be epic to finally see that happen in the metals sphere.

crude didn't bring silver or gold with it due to oil producers reducing output by 1m barrels per day...but I see silver going up as today it fell below $24 but only slightly after a weekend of those worried sellers...if it stays 50c under or less then by Wednesday I believe it will rise over $24 to stay there and head upwards towards $25,which isn't bad considering it's highest in recent times is only $28....but the premiums of silver and gold eagles will stop it going gangbusters due to minimum contract of planchets sold to the mint.

Make small deposits as and when you need to pay bills...? 🤔  It might be a pain in the butt doing it tht way but with things going in the direction they are the banks can't be trusted.

I remember the good old days of carpet bagging, when the banks said we were greedy..lol.
