  1. i have cancelled the gold version, sick of waiting, want my money back
  2. oh buggar just sold mine in pf70 for 1050. se la vie
  3. I would add to your list pay your taxes in full. Its tax avoiders (builders are one of the worst offenders) that has contributed to under funded public services.
  4. Prices have definitely softened in the past few months, I also purchased a 2013 Britannia set for only 5% above spot.
  5. I was delighted to buy this 2014 Britannia Premium set at Auction for only 7% above spot including buyers premium and shipping.
  6. No Daveth you focus on the bottle of port, then some of us may end up with coins with the Queen's portrait on them. So long as he deosn't do too many they will be worth loads.
  7. Very poorly packaged by the seller, asking for trouble
  8. Hi Thinking of making a purchase from this company for the first time. Has anyone bought from them previously Can anyone recommend them Thanks
  9. With reference to Q4.My most recent submission arrived back at the London office in a month.NGC has stated their aim to speed up grading times. Here's hoping this will continue as grading lead times are a frustration to us all I,m sure.
  10. It's been a terrible year for the flippers selling below issue price. I know TSF members are a compassionate lot. Christmas is just round the corner. I am providing a room for a flipper over Christmas and I hope other members will consider doing the same.
  11. Be kind to flippers. After all everthing we buy is flipped. Coin dealers flip, Tesco flips etc
  12. This thread has gone off on a tangent. Bringing it back on topic. I lost all respect for Atkinsons as a precious metal dealer when they stopped including a chocalate coin with every order.
  13. The owner Richard can be tetchy. I once bought a tray of silver 1oz bullion coins from him at a coin fair. I asked if he would include the tray in the deal. He had a tissy fit and accused me of trying to rip him off. Very good website and some reasonable prices now and then.
  14. Unfortunately no. The replacement is bound to have similar defects so I will upload images. lol
  15. Received my Gold Proof Tutankheman £5 today. I was delighted to discover RM has gone back to the screw type capsules. Pity about the coin though, lots of missing frosting so back it goes.
  16. So I am in the process of returning my Harry Potter silver proof 2oz coin to the Royal Mint (it's scratched). I have printed a free return label off the RM website. The label is for Tracked 48, compensation upto £100. So if the package is not received by RM who pays? Will I get returned to me my £190 outlay? When in the past I have had to return high value coins I pay for Royal Mail special delivery myself.
  17. @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer Hi Lawrence I was wondering if you ever get in Rothschilds gold bars . I recall several years ago that you had a lot for sale.
  18. Dave mate if you can remove milk spots from silver coins the world is your Oyster!!!
  19. also dont visit the shops or turn the heating on......problem definitely solved then
  20. Spare a thought for the seller. I suspect they will not be able to recover their loss from insurance or the carrier. By not inspecting the package and signing for it you let the delivery person and carrier off the hook. Ebay always sides with the buyer, I know from experience as a past seller on ebay. I was scammed out of £800 by a buyer who had left me positive feedback for the item I sold to them and then decided to make a claim with ebay claiming the contents where missing from the package. Of course ebay decided in the buyers favour. Scamming on ebay is the easiest risk free fraud one can commit.
  21. I am disappointed by so many Auction houses, supposedly highly reputable ones at that, using the description FDC to describe coins which clearly are not. Coins which have visible hairlines and handling marks are often given the FDC description. This is often the case with the 1937 Gold Proof 4 coin set £5 to 1/2sov. Very few, if any ,of these 1937 sets are FDC It is dishonest and is in breach of the trades description act, stop doing it.
  22. Not surprised by the Auction result. Any modern graded coin less than a 70 will be hammered at Auction(pardon the pun)!!!
