  1. received my Mint Edition magazine today from the Royal Mint which has the maximum mintages and prices for the Coronation releases on monday. SOTD max mintage 1260, price £850 1oz silver proof, mcm 18660 , price £99.50 £5 silver proof mcm 16860, price £95 1oz gold proof mcm 685, price £2770
  2. No big uptick on these 5sov sets graded pf70. Last 3 sold on ebay went for around 15% over raw coin issue price. could be a slow burner i guess.
  3. Its interesting the number of quality control issues highlighted with these sets but every 5sov has achieved a 70 grade with NGC Perhaps if a 69 grade turns up it will be worth more than a 70 grade because of its scarcity
  4. word of warning regarding mintages. The British Monarchs gold proof 1oz coins have a LED OF 100. Check out the NGC census and you will find that several hundreds have been graded of each coin in the series. The same may occur with the coronation releases.
  5. I see the Royal Mint as having taken over were British Leyland left off, good designs but poor quality. I urge everyone to return poor quality coins for replacement or refund, eventually RM will get the message, maybe not in our lifetimes but future generations will benefit.
  6. Received the Platinum version today. Obverse is badly pitted so I will be returning it, hope yours turns up in better condition. In fact I have had a very poor run of defective coins from the Royal Mint. As well as the Pt Brit I have returned the following in the last week. Memorial sovereign 5 coin set, which was a replacement for a previous set, it was clearly someone elses return. The Petition crown both the 2oz gold and silver sets.
  7. I am about to return my gold 2oz set due to the worst quality control issues I have ever experienced .Scrapped dentils , a wavy rim and one edge appears to have been filed!!! I have printed a Tracked 48 label from the RM site Who is responsible if this set goes missing?Tracked 48 provides very little insurance, not the 12K required.
  8. Full sovereign £1100 posted Half sovereign £550 posted SOLD No boxes
  9. Anyone know why there is a queue to get on the website right now?
  10. same for me only want the reverse design in 2oz gold, will try and buy it graded at a later date. will buy the 2oz set in silver if offered one from my AM.
  11. Currently on sale with the coin connection silver 1oz is £135, issue price is likely to be £99
  12. Live with it, no person is perfect, so why should coins be.
  13. Collected my Memorial Sovereign 5 coin set from Chards today. When I asked I was informed that the set had been Quality checked by two staff members, which is very reassuring. It does look perfect to my untrained eye. Its now on its way to NGC hopefully it grades well.
  14. Just received my Henry VIII 2oz. Has a scratch by Charles's nose Having a problem with the Royal Mint return page, it does not recognize my order no/zip CODE, tried several times. Anyone else had a problem
  15. Yes phone them, I did and discovered my 5 coin set is in stock. I opted for collection but earliest appointment is monday so will miss the NGC first releases deadline on the sovereign.
  16. Wow 3 beautiful coins, would you consider a swap for 3 magic beans, you can sweeten the deal by including a score?
