Few days after the Coronation of our King let's look at some other royal event in another country. A 1986 Japanese coin marking 60th anniversary of HIM Emperor Hiroshito's accession. The legend translates" Japan•Sixty years on the throne•100,000yen•Shōwa year 61". 
It actually came with a silver and a cupro-nickel coins, but I didn't bother to take the pictures. I don't think Japan does bullion coins, only commemoratives. I'm thinking of an Emperor run now as there are 4 more coins in this genre. The Meiji and Taisho gold are quite beautiful but are fetching a lot on auctions. The pre-Meiji kobans and obans would certainly top any world coin collection but those are subject to VAT (they've been constantly debased and a 19C example could have less than 50% gold).

Picked up this lovey 1884 Morgan Dollar minted by the Carson City mint.
This was one of a number of Morgan Dollar coins that sat in vaults before being released in the 1970s by the General Services Administration or GSA.
84.7% of the original 1,136,000 mintage for this year and CC Mint were part of the GSA horde.
