  1. Sorry, dont agree with that. There are obviously different 999 grades of blanks otherwise Perth and Mexico would have same issue with Kooks and Libertads etc which do not seem to exhibit this issue as others have already pointed out.
  2. Thank you all. May consider conservation, just to try and get it debris free. Probably going to be some scratches under there somewhere and as MikeG said, it wouldnt grade well, but hey, its a Three Graces here and now 🤗
  3. Was thinking similar thing, as just about how it came about to be in my possession makes it worth it.
  4. Well at least the Coin actually arrived.... However, its the Wintertime Snowflake version. Unsurprisingly, it looks like it been returned previously and RM just put it back out again as was. Box is dated March. Hard to determine what the “snow” is. It could be fluff or its looks more like plastic swarf, plus a couple of hairs in there too 😳. The capsule is a twist lock and surprise surprise it wasnt locked on and the top just lifted off as I opened the box. Not surprised, but really disappointed that RM just sent it back out again, which is pretty poor as no attempt at quality control (other than reduced price, also unstated why on web add) to rectify the original issue. Probably should’ve been rejected after being returned. It is a beautiful coin and having now seen it, would certainly wish to have one in proper condition.
  5. Thanks. Even stranger, I only stumbled on it trying to find the QB’s page 😳
  6. Sooo, with all eyes and attention diverted to the Queens Beasts release on Monday, only one person spotted this lonely Three Graces looking for a home.... Not sure if its going to arrive or what condition it’ll be in (as maybe its a return) but will be happy just to have one if it does 🤗 Just awaiting on the “cancelled order” email...
  7. Guess RM couldn’t align their dating processes as it hasn’t got the new design and security feature as the 2021 1oz Britannia. Do like it though 👍
  8. i dont take issue with them linking to an Index, its the +3.9% on top of the Index...
  9. Family member got email from Vodafone this week stating they were no longer offering their current plan and are changing it as below.... Please note: your current plan is subject to an annual price increase using the Retail Price Index (RPI) published in March each year. This new plan will increase each April by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January that year, plus an additional 3.9%.
  10. These have be around for a while (2011). Dont know if this one is still operating in London... UK Gold Vending Machine
  11. Agree 100%. This has been going on for years with Basel I,II and now III, its already been baked in to where we are today.
  12. Another observation... The US Mint changed their recent statement to say it wasnt a Silver Shortage they were experiencing but a silver blank shortage. Therefore, a refining company is probably providing blanks and not just to the US Mint but lot of other suppliers and it is the refiners that need a large amount of silver raw material that have the shortage issue, hence why small pockets of coins are still available as they are running down pre pressed stock.
  13. Not sure I would believe the “Official Holdings” information especially given the recent LBMA revised holdings of 3,300 Tonnes they didnt have... LBMA misleads claim of record stocks Like Spark268 indicated above, at current rate there is only 2 months left. Also check out the huge increase in PSLV taking ounces off the market. Thanks Lawrence for the excellent info at the dealer end. Interesting times for sure
  14. Yep so instead of paper contacts being dumped to control price it’ll be the BIS running the show. My thoughts are, Basel III must have been readied for implementation with agreement from all parties (whether they liked it or not) for years and you can bet your last bit of PM, it is for no-ones benefit other than TPTB.
  15. I seem to recall in the not so distant past the US Mint has halted production of coins in recent years for one reason or another before starting up again. Guess this year they can blame it on a shortage.... I think I read somewhere that there is some legal requirement that the US Mint can only buy US mined silver, so maybe halting production is part of their Modus Operandi for pricing.
  16. I see coin/bar dealer businesses that need to move stock to make a profit to stay in business, but when looking at their webpages it mostly says out of stock and yes the items they do have in stock the premiums have increased. Is that ripping buyers off, or a business trying to stay solvent and keep trading? No different to other retail shops etc. Everyone has a choice to choose to pay the price or not. The retailer needs customers.
  17. If you literally want to start small, take a look at the 2007 25th Anniversary Set as a challenge, they are only 1/25oz and the full set makes up to 1oz.... There was also a silver version which was comprised of 1/4oz coins. Peter Anthony: The 2007 (1984) 15 Yuan 1/25 oz. gold Panda is part of the 2007 Twenty-fifth Anniversary Set and has a mintage of 18,000. The 2007 Twenty-fifth Anniversary gold and silver coins are the largest sets of Pandas ever issued. Each coin recaps the design from one of the twenty-four prior years on one face and on the other carries an image of the Temple of Heaven plus the anniversary statement. Originally the coins were shipped in lavish boxes, Inside each box there were five rows of coins inside clear plastic strips. Each of the 15 Yuan gold coins weighs 1/25 of a troy oz. so the 25 coins add up to one ounce of gold. The anniversary gold coins were well protected in the original plastic holders and most have graded well: PF70 or PF69.
  18. Some people probably said that about £300, £200, £100..... 😉
  19. Englehard issue from a few years back, but specific gravity test was ok, along with some interesting observations in the comments section. Engelhard Prospector fails Sigma Metalytics testing
  20. Indeed and where is the base source WSS > Silvertowne Mint (Dealer) then bar manufacturer then possibly refiner... it could get interesting as if it was reduced purity the supplier may have provided same batch materials for lots of different brands.
