Britannia47 got a reaction from stefffana in what was your first silver buy
Don’t remember the 1st, but the last was the 2018 Eagle, from your part of the world in Beaumont, Texas, whilst on a ‘shooting visit!’
Now, it’s all about Gold for me, but recognise that Silver, despite the difference in value, enables the collector to get the latest designs for a fraction of the price. Photo shows all my ‘keepsakes’…..

Exactly the same tactics for me.
For me it was a no-brainier to hold for the medium to long term,
Just finished doing a cost averaging exercise on 14 of mine, ranging from a £210 Eagle to a £1159 Elk in price.
Will let others do the maths, but a very nice profit indeed. However past performance is no guarantee, as they say….!
Neither am I selling just yet. 😁

Don’t see the point of stacking Silver……😁!

I've not tried to withdraw any capital, but the "winnings" are always paid out promptly.

    Hi,
You may get a better response in the ‘Non Precious Metals’ section!
Having said that, the bun-head Young Victoria is one of my favourite obverses
Leonard Charles Wyon’s portraits, were better than his Father’s IMO….
Photo shows the classical Young head portrait by William Wyon, next to his eldest son Leonard’s ‘Australia’ Sovereign. For comparison the ‘bunhead’ farthing is also shown, by L.C.
Good- luck with your date run.🙂

Spot on!  The proof is one of the best, but ironically the bullion version (I’ve got one) is one of the worst IMO - it being difficult to see detail on the shiny all over surface. 🙁

But @dicker by that logic, if you don’t put them in a ‘capsule’ then you get another sovereign 9 months later?
You’ve just got on average 18 years to pay for it. 😆
