  1. I want Morgan dollars, britainas and Krugerrands as I've got half a tube of each to top up
  2. 2 Liberian silver 1oz coins from a 2nd hand shop.

I hate having coins in cards....I considered taking it out.... I resisted

I believe it's an Indian mint. Topped up with 3 Brits as well. £580 for the 4

Went out with a bit of spare cash today looking for gold....no sovereigns anywhere around my usual shops. Found this 1918 so in a royal mint case and card. A quick check online showed they seemed to command a bit of a premium.... I paid a bit more than I normally do but then if gold price keeps rising I don't suppose that matters....it will be below spot in a week 🤣 What sort of value would you give it?
  6. That's true. I've just looked at the price of gold and held off buying a sovereign....then blew £500 on a crossbow and £50 on a viking style drinking horn 🤣 Stopping impulse buying s**** was the reason I started stacking 🤣 Anyone want to swap a crossbow and a drinking horn for a sovereign?
  7. Over winter is my quieter time at work, plus family holiday in February....so I've not bought any gold or been in here for a while 😳. Wish I'd cashed in everything I had and bought gold last year.....it's gone up over £200 an once!!! What the hell happened while I was away? I've always said buy a lot when you can and buy a bit when the the price is up. Now I can't afford any 🤣
  8. If I had a sovereign worth 20 grand why would I give it to Dave, the thick **** who works for me when his wages are only £400? If I owed him 20G in wages I'd be better paying him that as it would be a business expense. I don't get it?
  9. I don't owe a single penny to anyone....but I refuse to give it to the government until the very last minute, I'd rather let my tax money sit in premium bonds until the final demand. What's the government going to do with it? Give it to Ukraine or the boat Invaders
  10. Don't sell your gold to give to the government!
  11. Only if you let them in. It's still the same process. To be prosecuted they have to catch you or you admit it. If you do get prosecuted then the fact that you pay for sky, netflix and Amazon is actually brought up in court as evidence. But having those things doesn't make it more likely you will get a visit. You can of course watch Netflix and Amazon with no license. But like I say if your in court they will say that you were happy to pay for that like it's evidence against you. Do the declaration and you won't get a visit. So many are doing it now that they are only visiting those who had a licence and then stopped paying without making the declaration.
  12. If it was up to me we wouldn't have a Tele 🤣
  13. Not necessarily.....spent my life doing things my way and fighting for both nationalism and country sports......two things that often feel like lost causes and long tiring fights. But I've got better things to do than pick silly fights I can do without on top! I ruse to pay for the TV tax like an increasing amount of people ✌️👍
  14. Because I don't want constant letters and it reduces the chances of a visited to almost zero, and having two young kids I'd rather reduce that likelihood as they might inadvertently let em in. Working in a court room prosecuting criminals it would be highly embarrassing to get done for no license. If I lived on my own with nothing but a silver and gold collection and the internet I'd probably be prepared to be much more of a rebel
