Really didn't want to sell but I'm moving away from sealed bullion as I like to hold my coins, I just couldn't bring myself to break it out and I prefer older sovs generally.
Obverse is obstructed by packaging so I can't see it, but the reverse is flawless.

Hello 
For sale is this 1879m Sovereign.  I think this may be  a scarce year judging from the Marsh Book. Can not be seen in the photo properly, but from my loupe, the the second stop after the P in B.P. is bigger then the one in between the B and P.  Anyway, for it to be scarce, the tail of the horse has to be intermediate.  Judge for yourself if the tail is long or intermediate.
The coin is in very good condition.
Priced at just a good young head.

I miss his input. He has a lot of knowledge to share and I quite liked the banter too.

I heard he found an old map of the  secret location of El Dorado  and he set off in his dinghy to South America. 
 
 
 
 

He last posted on 23rd February. One might think in these times of 'died suddenly' - that he might have...........died suddenly - but it seems not. i can see he has been lurking - giving the odd appreciative like and laugh against posts. His last like was on 18th May Thursday at 15:29. So there we are - all's well with the world; at least as far as Blackpool, Lancashire.
To be honest i was always surprised at the amount of input he was able to muster considering he is ultimately running a multi-employee businees turning over millions. 
Top bloke all in all i must say.

When the 70s come back expect a lower mean value as the flippers take their profits. I expect they'll be readily available for a while still 

Today I have for sale 6 carded sovereigns, all are uncirculated, the 2008 is still sealed in the bag.. and the 2009 is in a box with coin in a capsule.
