Inflation isn't really affecting taxpayer funded groups, such as government workers/pensioners and benefit recipients as they have been receiving inflation protected rises.
Its just the mugs who work in the private sector who are feeling the pain.

I'm sure this is correct, I mean, it must be right? The cost of living is indeed in crisis mode.
But, have you tried to book a Christmas Package this year (Hotel, Lunch, Dinner etc.?)
My usual haunts are sold out this year, at nearly £500 per head 😮

Decades really do happen in weeks!

This is what's crazy though. If you want to add to your stack then now is the perfect time to buy.
The price is changing constantly. That's what it does. Sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down, but if you're holding for the long term (which, let's face it, you should be) then all you should really care about is premium. Right now premiums are on the floor. When will you get a premium better than this? I understand the psychological desire to wait for a lower spot price, but what will a lower spot price mean? Higher premiums. So you end up paying the same monetary amount as you would do now anyway. And that's only if the gold price falls! What if it goes the other way? Premiums can't fall much further but the price can rise a lot!
Forget the price, premium is the important thing. 
Not a financial advisor, just my own opinions, etc. etc.

Hello Ladies and Gents,
I suspect a few hard core Sov collectors here either own or know about rarities / oddities that they might not have shared but I have a question.
I have previously heard of, but not seen there being a 1864 Sovereign with the following characteristics.  The source was someone that I purchased a very hard to find Melbourne Half sovereign, and themselves only collected very high grade Sovereigns.
- No die number
- On truncation, a numeral “1” in relief next to “W W”  which is incuse.
Has anyone else ever heard of this - or even seen this?
