Wasn't going to look around for more half sovereigns, ebay sent £15 voucher, so I bought a 1878 half sovereign, whoops!
Ebay never sent those vouchers before? I blame them.

Took this as a buy it now using £15 voucher. After looking around for Victorian half sovereigns this one took my eye, the seller's photos weren't the best but it seemed to have enough about it for me. I'm still finding my feet regarding grading but I feel it's what I thought it was from the seller's images, which is VF. I'm happy to be told it's a little better (which I guess it might be on the obverse) or a little worse. It's in the collection now anyway.

Just got a 1906 Half Sovereign from HGM.

76 in total. Around that yeah. I find that it's a very good way to get cheap silver if you don't mind storing it. Also makes it more interesting as you can build up a nice collection of pre-decimal coins.

Just collected a lot of 50% Silver 3d. Some nice grades to go into the collection, the rest will go into my scrap pot. Best part was the whole lot only cost £10!

Why the half? to cross the 400oz gold finish line
Total gold stack = 400.06oz
Got to have some self discipline now and stop buying gold and get the silver stack up to target goal.

Arrived from dear numi, I bought these for the kids when they were born, my eldest daughter got, by pure luck, coa 0012, coincidentally she was born on the 12th day of June! So, they did well getting 70s, they’re pretty unimpressed though, can’t please everyone.
