No a mate of mine used to be in the army with me - he's got a doctorate and was an analyst for goldmans. He commanded me in Iraq, commando and keen cyclist, does triathlons for a laugh. Top bloke. Runs his own engineering consultancy. 
We spent many a long nights in Iraq talking about economics when we had down time. We've been mates for years.. Always kept in touch and he offered me a job when I got out was struggling. one of the many men whom I admire... As he's a very profound man but very down to earth.

Two of my properties due mortgage renewal next year. I'll go on a rip off variable until it settles. And my insurance (hope) is gold (and silver) will balance against the potential pitfalls. 

Also there 1 trillion  USD FX derivative swaps off the feds balance sheet. A quadrillion normal derivatives, including credit defualt swaps, and CLOs.
Bonds and yields pension nightmare.
Credit Suisse and Deutchse Bank are toxic with derivatives and bonds, they go...  Credit Suisse are quietly being bailed in as we speak....

My mate has made some predictions for 2023 - and he has the brain the size of a mansion. 
Here they are:
[ ] Global recession.
- [ ] Steep broad market declines.
- [ ] Rising dollar.
- [ ] Credit crunch.
- [ ] Sovereign debt crisis.
- [ ] Quantitative easing.
- [ ] Interest rates cut.
- [ ] Inflation returns.
- [ ] Gold to ATH, silver above $30.
- [ ] Energy to ATHs (maybe not uranium).
- [ ] Property will see a small decline then will accelerate into year end.
- [ ] Wildcard 1: Russia “wins” in Ukraine.
- [ ] Wildcard 2: China invades Taiwan.

Can’t even get a reply from royal mint at the moment enquiring about an order that was being shipped working 3 days 2 months ago. Tried several times.  Just had enough with them and their shocking service and my money is just sat with  them why nothing has been shipped since the Edward VII coins. At this point just going to cancel all my orders (about £2.5k) worth and wait and wait for a refund. 

Not been delivered yet………..we are dealing with the Royal Mint here!

Exactly. I noticed this several years ago but on a much smaller scale than the current mess. Jessopp is raking in the cash in advance to manipulate the end of financial year results and impress her boss at HM Treasury by achieving the targets set to her and some more. Let’s hope we all learn from this by not taking the bait this time next year and scupper her plans. She’ll probably be moved on with a promotion elsewhere in the meantime though.
I pity the customers waiting on the RM Christmas decorations though. They’re the ones with their Christmas trees still in the window in August.

I enjoy paying a 100% deposit plus postage up front makes me feel altruistic.

Not bad really they must have 100's of millions in interest free loans from us all. 

Mate it’s money up front and you can whistle for the goods you have paid for.  

Ive had the same sort of response from the RM over the Yale of Beaufort they havent sent and Ive paid for......
Ive subscribed to the RM Tudor beasts series and still im waiting....

It’s okay I suspect more than a few people will be asking where their 2022 sovereigns are in January. 

Mate it a fantastic business model, take 10’s if not 100’s of millions up front for orders of gothics, all the unlimited KCIII, the entire 2022 memorial sovereigns etc, and sit on the cash until the gold price drops, if it goes up blag covid, or any other production issues and then only process the orders once the gold price drops using our money to short the PM markets……they can’t lose.  
 
Ive cancelled some of my orders and will sit and wait until mid Jan to see if they can get the 2022 memorial sovereigns delivered I might bail on a few more sets just see how I feel in January……..the problem they are going to have is cost of living some are willing to wait with all good intentions but once the Christmas credit card bill lands I can see more than one or two cancelling to pay off other debt.

you dont realise just how many current releases there currently are available until you see them listed like above - THERES LOADS ! 
too many new issues, cost of living crisis, inflation, interest rates increasing, high gold price, increased RRPs, higher/unlimited mintages 

It’s the combination of higher / unlimited mintages AND higher prices which have dampened enthusiasm for this range.
The gold price has come down and it’ll be interesting to see if the RM actually reduces prices of upcoming releases.
The current prices for proofs are insane and a bit greedy too.
