Despite what anyone else says, I really like the finish on these coins, I like the plain edge and the unique design. It’s a big premium to the mint and dealer but if you get perfect coins, I think these will do well medium to long term. My coins, touch wood, appear to be fine here, can’t say the same for other RM releases.

Replacement portrait received today. Slight marks on Victoria plain fields. I really think they are recycling others returns here now. Not sure what to do now, probably end up with worse if send this back. This should not be occurring on £260 coins. The coin is beautiful but the marks detract. What are others doing? -
It’s a shame that they are there, but I doubt you will get a perfect coin if asking for a replacement. @GoldDiggerDavereckons he gets mixed results on grading, maybe he can chime in?

Those are worth a lot more than spot price mate as I suspected. I don’t have the best knowledge on selling on however so am sure others will chime in from here. And yes, getting a top grade can make a big difference.

Folk seam to be assuming that your coins are bog standard sovs etc? If that’s the case , advicecabove will no doubt be sound. Can you list some of your stack as you say they could be rare? Collectors will pay big time for desirable coins.

Received my order this morning and looks a1 on first inspection, which is odd given my luck. (My 1oz proof libertad gold 2015 has decided to develop very red spots since last look) I actually like the box these SOTD come in, maybe I’m just a peasant.

Fair point. Just checked my receipts and although it’s indicated 0 vat, I bought 1/10 Brits in feb 2019 for £85 each, spot was about £620 at the time I see! Seemed like a deal at the time.

Before Brexit you could purchase platinum, not at zero vat but much reduced, much like silver. I was picking up 1/10 Brits for less than £70 I think.
