  1. Are you trying for the longest topic title @LawrenceChard? You could have squeezed thon Welsh railway station name in there somewhere also😄
  2. I imagine you will be waiting some time for a reply from the Royal Mint currently. They are never the most prompt at replying and what with the bank holiday and all.
  3. Bought a couple of SOTD platinum jubilee sovs via pre order from there; put one in for grading and got a 70. No issues.
  4. Weren’t you selling one these sets a few months back?
  5. It’s a double edged sword mate, you end up buying more than you normally would😀 and yes, credit accounts are for mint marque customers however there are various tiers available.
  6. Given the person wants to remain anonymous it would suggest they are donating for all the right reasons. You would think anyone in their position, who knows about bullion, would sell the gold and make a direct cash donation with proceeds? Reducing the potential of the charity getting ripped off trying to exchange for fiat and saving them the hassle. Given the coins were Brits, there would be no issues with the person selling and capital gains which was the only possible reason I could think of for taking said route. Anyways, nice gesture.
  7. Glad you got it sorted in the end. I am never sure why so many folk appear to buy bullion state side via eBay. Surely you would be better buying mail order from the same bullion dealers?. EBay is just an extra layer of hastle who like to take their %?
  8. £80 will be cost of a normal fish supper in a years time the way things are going.
  9. Congrats on clearing off the account. Not sure you would survive the tab for a round Paul, what’s a pint in capital city theses days? Any change from a tenner?
  10. Yes I clocked your ad, wouldn’t have known it was your company if you hadn’t shown other magazine article in the other thread. When did you change the company name? After 1980 obviously. Incidentally, who’s phone number is pencilled in under your ad?or is that the safe combo?😄👍
  11. I could beat up your dodgy mate if it expedites things?
  12. How about heating on one side and eating on t’other ;Sunak can flip the poor quite literally? Motto inscribed “mind & spend in 2023 or will only be worth 59p”
  13. I think they are really slacking off, 999.5? Come on Baird mint , refine a tad better😄
  14. Nice one mate, did you buy graded or send it yourself? I’m still waiting on mine, it’s took ages!
  15. Given they are squirrelling away multiple perfect coins to NGC for grading/ price gouging with their “partners” I think having real hammered coins would have made this tricky for them to do. I fear the mint are making an awful lot of mistakes at the moment. Their “reputation” will only take them so o far before folks have had enough, getting close myself. I agree though, proper hammered coins would have been good though.
  16. It will be interesting to read your findings, I’m sure they will be impartial..
  17. Youngest coin was a 2023 sov, very rare🤔 the poor chap would have needed the papers pay out to cover some of the cost of the dog. I have got one further question, did the sovereigns have an unusual odour of fish?😄
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum. We’ve all made some mistakes mate, even a few years in. Take your time, read a lot, buying opportunities will always be around.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum mdd mate.
  20. A good place to buy and sell, welcome to the forum mate.
  21. Only highlighting it ‘cause it’s you; it’s actually 0007, the pedant that you are!
