Got this bad boy for £25 from another forum member, 3rd ngc coin to my stack. You could'nt even grade 1 for that price. Paid yesterday afternoon, received today.

A mixed bag from my sovereign submissions. Disappointed with the cleaned details for one of the 1822's. The highlight was the MS63 for the 1863 but very surprised to only get a AU55 for the 1853. The 1887 double was pretty much expected although on a good day I think it might have achieved a MS60.

 

Good Point  But these are going in the collection for now

Picked this up the other day at the Birmingham coin fair from the PCGS stand.
Only base metal I think, but it was very cheap; FOC in fact

 

Is it possibly the same coin used to make the purchase?

An 1893 Philadelphia Morgan Dollar, via eBay and a European seller.  Pretty excited about this for two reasons. First - because when it arrives that will complete my simple date run ...with only 1895 missing (but they are impossibly rare ..so I will just have an empty tray slot for that year!).  
Second - it's graded an MS65 by PCGS...which (if genuine...knowing my luck!) would make it worth well over $1000.  It's an old style PCGS holder though....so fingers crossed that grade is still regarded as genuine?, as I paid a lot less than $1000 for it.  
Will share pics of it when I get it - probably next weekend.  To be frank, when comparing pictures to MS65 sales on NGC website, the coin I bought looks closer to MS64 or MS63.  But if it's for real and MS65 I will not be rushing to break it out and reslab it....

I just ordered my first ever sovereigns, the 2017s.

Oh blimey, from the likes on this post I can tell I am mixing in company that will encourage me into further 'bad' ways (and I need little encouragement!)!

I notice that GS.BE have a notice in their shopping cart.  Its an update for May 2017 that there is a delay in shipments due to high activity and thanks for your patience.  I'm guessing that retail buyers must be backing up the truck with this massive whack down from mid April.
All of the official data from mint sales has been low so far for 2017.  Perhaps that is about to change.
