That's awful, I can only imagine the stress this would cause. I hope you get some sort of justice and closure on this.
I've noticed on the trust pilot review site, there are a few people who are accusing them of being mistreated and their response was to claim that they are confusing them with someone else. Which IF true (not saying it is) but if, then it's possible some scammer could be using their name and work place to scam innocent people like the OP. Just as a few people before me have suggested.

But it's things like this which have always kept me from using ebay, I don't think I could personally handle the stress of being ripped off.

Hello guys I hope that you're well,
I'd just like to inform you that Charterhouse Accountants Ltd (charter-house.net) are currently trying to scam me, after buying a 1 Oz Gold Buffalo on eBay for £1725 delivered.
The eBay user ID used to place the purchase is: and-774142
So those of you who trade on there, will want to block this asap (assuming it's still active).
Five days after receiving the coin, they bypassed eBay and filed a 'transaction not recognised' dispute with their bank.
Once I uploaded proof of dispatch/delivery images to the eBay dispute that automatically opened and put my account in a deficit, I was notified that they'd changed their dispute to 'item not received'.
The 1 Oz Gold Buffalo was delivered to Charterhouse Accounts Ltd address, College Road, Harrow.
I even sent a polite email to their associate director querying this chargeback four days ago, and I phoned their firm last week but have not received any form of correspondence since.

    Best,
    Al

Yeah sometimes you just need to scratch that itch 😉. They are a nice coin, I can only imagine the price will increase in time as they become more difficult to come by.
    Cheers.

I haven't looked much recently, but I know they were well over £1,000 the last time any dealers had them. I'd imagine even second hand they're still around that level. Think I'm going to aim for a 10oz version in the near future to begin with and see if that satisfies the need for one 😅

I would love a silver Kilo Completer coin one day. One of the nicest designs in a while, and to see it on a coin that size would be a treat.

Looks like my guess is not going to be correct haha. I knew it was going to be quite high, but not this high. Gold is going nuts at the moment at £1634.77 so silver is following it.

Edit, just realized the comp is already over.  😂 Congrats to the winner.

Does the surge in price have anything to do with the recent bank problems that have been hitting the news?

    Hello fellow members.
On the 23rd March, it will be 3 months since I joined this forum.
I have decided as a thank you to all the members who have bought from me or have done a swap with me, this is a free competition for you.
The rules are very simple and costing you nothing but a little thinking and some luck.
All you have to do is predict what the spot price of silver in $ to be 23rd March at 9pm when US Markets close. Who ever is closest in cents above or below the closing price will be the winner of the 1oz silver coin. I will be using bullionbypost.co.uk price at 9pm to get the final closing price.
To make it fair for members who post their price first, the cut off will be 9pm Friday 17th March. Any prediction after this will not be valid. Think carefully as each member will only have one chance and no editing is allowed. Your first prediction is the only valid entry.

The coin will be posted there after to the winner who I will announce on this thread.
Anyone new  who buys anything from me up to 16th March will be allowed to enter.
    Good luck

All the old british currency is worth stacking. It is very safe, there are not counterfeits (excepting of course rare years or denominations), easy to sell on the private market, so in my opinion it is a good buy if you can have it at spot. If you are after small pre 47 coins, I am very sure you can find on forum people happy to sell them at spot.
I will tag on here @davidcaia and @arphethean who can help you with kilos of pre 47 british coins, but there are many members who accumulated big quantities and will be more than happy to sell or swap some weight.
About having for fun, what can I say more? Just imagine a pirate treasure chest full of cheap silver, with no fear about handling, fingerprints, milk spots, with a certain intrinsic value. You can play poker with your fiends using real money, you can have fun with your kids numbering and counting...
    Cheers!

Exactly this, except instead of a bit overblown, I'd say very overblown.

The picture this article uses seems to suggest the bars are filled with tungsten or lead, which is very dishonest and to the casual viewer of the webpage would give you completely the wrong idea. It's only when you read the story you see it's more of a non issue and nothing as serious as the picture suggests. The thread title is a bit alarmist as well, if I may say so.

    Just my 2p worth.
