I am taking orders for a very few numbers of  guaranteed* PF70UC 2oz silver Pistrucci Great Engravers coins. * one caveat to the guarantee, In the extremely unlikely event none grade PF70UC then I would refund without quibble*  I have sufficient numbers coming and being submitted to offer this.
The coins will come with the King Charles label in the new NGC QR coded slabs.
The market is only just reacting to the launch  of these coins and I do reserve the right to close the listing and or change the price as market forces dictate.     Once ordered and paid for it's locked in and the deal is done, I will not come back and price bump you if the market continues to goes north.   Anyone who's ever dealt with me knows I play fair.

The coin will come with the original box and COA.  I will keep you up to date with the progress of the coins and will confirm at the soonest convince.

Falcon1985 reacted to Orpster in Investigation into Historic Coin Pricing by The Royal Mint
I do not generally buy from the Royal Mint anymore with the odd exception,
What I do is wait and buy from the secondary market, generally wayyyyyy below RRP.  The one I have found the most telling is 1/4oz proofs.  They are charging £750+ on new releases now and I have not paid more than £500 on the secondary market, often under £450.  Examples of this is the Who and Bowie coins, the Queens Honours series and the Mr Men series, all of which I picked up for a combined saving over RRP of over £1200!!!!
The other telling factor for me on the last 3 sovereign releases is you can literally pre-order from other dealers at below release price.  The Coins of the Realm were selling the 5 coin memorial set considerably under Royal Mint price, and every other set and single.  I had half sovereigns from them and Britannia coins.  The Britannia coins ones I bought were after release and were being sold at a huge discount on rrp.  I am expecting the sales on the last three years to be the full set amounts not to be under total maximum mintage like in previous years (check the 2018 piedfort sovereign for potential total mintage versus how many were actually sold as an example).  Any they have left they are knocking out cheap to dealers I suspect.  BBP on black Friday for instance!!!
They are also releasing coins early to some dealers and making Joe Public wait well past release dates to receive their coin, meaning that your average Joe like me has almost no chance of getting a first release label when sending for grading unless paying a premium to said dealers.  This has caused a premium on first release label coins to rise.

For a while now you may have seen I have been making comentaries on the seemingly extortionate prices of some of the Royal Mint's Historic Coin pricing.
Today we see another example of outrageous prices with the Pistrucci 3 coin set.
The Royal Mint have  valued two silver crowns (1819 and 1821) at a combined value of £600+
I am in the process of an investigation and deep dive into this and have reached out the the Royal Mint press office for comments (they have not been great in their replies so far).
Lots to share in due course and it should be quite telling for the mint when published.
What I would like from this thread is any community sentiments on this practice by The Royal Mint.
They need to understand its not just one crazy guy with a YouTube channel that has a problem here. There are deeper issues at play which I feel very strongly about including but not limited to The Royal Mint profiteering from the unsuspecting public that don't know better and who take the valuations from the mint at face value.
If you have an opinion on this and you would like it to be shared please post here.
If you would rather remain anonymous please feel free to PM me and sentiments can be shared that way.
The Royal Mint is in my opinion taking a direction that will ultimately do serious damage to their brand and reputation. My goal is change, but I will settle for consumer awareness for the wider population. If I can save just one person from buying a coin 10x the true value that is my job done.
Any thoughts/comments and opinions are most welcome.
Remember, this is a public forum and thread and comments may be publiushed on YouTube.

Falcon1985 reacted to Organics in To ALL Non Paying Members. A Personal Story
This post is really for all non paying TSF members. However it will probably resonate with a lot of paid members too.
***I haven't been asked to write this but it is a kind of testimonial***
When I started buying precious metals years ago it wasn't a problem, as I would buy current year silver and gold bullion, and directly from very reputable online dealers. As the years went on I started getting more interested in older coins, sovereigns to be specific. However I had very little, to no knowledge on what to look for. So as I started to do research online and TSF posts kept coming up. So one day I decided to join. It's great that you can get so much information on here and post questions without being a paid member. I learned so much just from being in the background and reading all the new threads and responses.
So a little time later after becoming acquainted to the site, I bit the bullet and started a new topic. I can't remember what my first question was, but all I can remember that after all the responses, it saved me making a very costly purchase on a coin. I continued to stay on as a free member for a little while longer, mostly because I didn't have the time to be more active, and  then found I had to ask another question. Again loads of responses and very helpful advice from members.
I then took a moment and thought to myself. If it wasn't for TSF, I could have lost a lot of money, and also not made purchases that I would have normally passed on. So I decided to become a silver premium member. I pay £5.99 a month (the price of a coffee and croissant in London) and off course with becoming a paid member I can buy and sell on here, but that wasn't my intention. I knew it would be very unlikely that I would buy much due to the fact that I currently live in Portugal. I did it because I wanted to support the forum, due to how members have helped me. On a side note, if you are in the UK and are interested in buying PM's (Precious Metals), then there are some amazing deals to be had on here. I cry sometimes at how cheap things are, compared to dealers, ebay and over here in Portugal. I really don't care if the owner is making a big profit or not. They are providing a safe, friendly and very helpful service, that I hope to be part of for many years to come.
So for the sake of £5.99 a month, I would highly suggest you get your credit/debit cards out, buy a premium membership, and support TSF. It's money well spent and if you're buying PM's. you'll save that several times over when you make a purchase.
    Just my personal TSF experience.
Peace and love to all at TSF 🙏 (God knows we need it)

If it's simply somewhere to park your money for a while, so it doesn't lose to inflation, then you can't really go wrong with standard bullion sovereigns...
Simple VAT-free 22ct chunks of gold which are easy to buy and sell, usually within a few % of spot price. And the best part, CGT free!!!
