Seriously guy's and girls I'm getting to the point of breaking, the voice in my head is screaming at Me ( ok maybe voices 😆)
One of us whom we have nearly all dealt with at some point or another has be financially shafted to the tune of £700 and hasn't received any recourse as of yet ( highly unlikely now tbh ) but I've witnessed some very strange "coincidences" lately that have set the alarm bells of in my head. These alarms are getting louder and louder by the day, unfortunately legally there's very little anyone can do to help.
This message is to simply warn all forum members to be very careful when making purchases, I won't name names as its unfair to all parties involved, but I will ask that hopefully right thing gets done,  hopefully the geniune victim gets made whole again.
If the person that absconded for whatever reason (mental health /tragedy/financial struggle/whatever ) ever manages to read this message, please do the right thing. You're better than this, at least I thought so from our brief conversations!! It's not too late, do it through me or send the money by post if you have to.
I've dealt with you and you had the opportunity to nail me for a substantial amount (for which I'm grateful you didn't) but this tells me there's more to the story? Maybe just maybe you feel it's better to ignore the issue and eventually it will go away? It won't, this will stain your character for the rest of your life, no future can be built on dishonesty.
Anyway rant/plea over and hopefully it reaches the right person, and if if does... remember its never too late to make amends!!

Well gold had tax on it until 1999.
No one thought they'd go after bullion like they did in Germany recently. Trust me ANYTHING can happen. Politics doesn't stand still it evolves, what might seem impossible or unpalatable now, could potentially be easily achieved or even desirable to those in power twenty or thirty years from now.
I'm sure there was a time when no one ever thought the whole world would go fiat.
Currently politicians might have lots of wealth in gold, they might however decide to get out of gold before they change the rules. You know how politicians work...

I don't think this will ever happen. Only a politic decision can change the actual tax system and probably all the politicians got large amount of gold in their portfolios.
Also, it is not something with large interest in gaining popularity like for example Brexit.

Places like bullion by post have ordered whatever amount from mint, so these are available. The mint decided to stop the supply for various reasons, but as these are ‘memorial’ they decided to limit the number available.

Because they've probably sold the remaining stock to the dealers I expect.  Either that or they're fulfilling the orders they made through the dealers and some people have cancelled their orders leaving available stock with them.

Hello everyone I started stacking in 2018 since my grandad passed away and handed down all his silver to me. I carried on collecting and sold bits to update my collection. I also went into gold too. I have sold bits on eBay but the fees are awful. I’m hoping to get advice and knowledge and also trade.

Why would governments change it when the London bullion market and bullion bankers make millions and governments get a slice of the tax, albeit its all based in the city of Westminster, go look at the spiders web video in my signature block, its all about tax avoidance for the rich, so it gives them popularity.
Remember a politicians career is short lived may 10 years max when they get to the top of their tree. They all get jobs for making speeches when they've done their term.... Boris Johnson made 1.6 million in 4 weeks after leaving office, not forgetting all the non executive director jobs they get when they retire as consultants. oh by the way a majority of MP's have 2nd jobs already....
Rishi Sunak the richest PM in history
Tony Blair 2nd richest PM in history
    The list is endless...

Its called the Comex or know as the commercial exchange..... its the futures or papers market. So basically when Maggie thatcher introduced the free market, there's was thing called futures and derivatives. Basically its a paper exchange a contract or an IOU. So say you wanted to buy 500oz of silver or gold on the COMEX. You pay me the money and I give a you a piece of paper saying you I owe you 500oz, you dont physically hold the metals, then when the price goes up and you sell it back to me and then you take your money and I take the cert back....
But there's a catch too many of these paper contracts around to say that I have these 500oz in my vault, for every piece of silver  there this amount of paper around.... So there's 466 contracts of silver paper to every physical oz in the world.... So when then the financial crash happens people who have these piece of paper contracts - say to the people holding this silver, give me delivery, there's not enough.....
But it gets worse, devaluation of currencies, bond markets credit default swaps, leverage, Pension yields.. Over inflated stocks based on bullsaht.....
Its basically a house of cards.....
