I'm over it. I was really annoyed at the time and it was only rekindled when you stated no body wanted it in your vid. Not sure if you were aware of the auction. However, Honestly I don't know why anyone would agree a sale having started an auction, let alone waiting 30 min's to withdraw the auction after agreeing to sell through private messages so the rest of the forum were unaware. I bid as soon as I saw the auction and it was still live as I typed.
I'm more than happy with the purchases I made as a result of not buying the bar/ square. I do feel OP acted quite disingenuous, and as such the resulting banter should be expected. After all you wouldn't expect to turn up at a auction house and part way through the auction or bidding the auctioneer say's thanks to those that have left bid's or bid be we've already sold it. I know on occasion, items are pulled but this is done with Immediate effect, if for what ever reason an item is pulled.
I'm sure you can understand that if auctions on the forum were usually run this way, were a private message and sale agreement could stop an auction mid flow, nobody would bother bidding. What would be the point, only for it to be cancelled.
Moving on I feel OP got less than he could have and I know for a fact that I was prepared at the time to go to £3,700 (£740 a kilo, as per my wanted ad). So in my eyes he's only done himself out of funds.

Selling this 2020 1/4oz Gold Standard coin at spot. These usually have a decent premium, but due to someone dropping it (before I got it), will be sold at spot. The coin looks good in hand, but under magnification there is some marks where it is slightly stained and obviously an edge knock near the left scale.
Listing will stay up if not sold until until 9pm Sunday
£469 + Post ( Using BBP and HGM for Spot Price) (SOLD)

Guapstar11 I think your best option to break the set and sell it on this forum from time to time, I'm sure you would find some buyers, and I'm the first one if you decided to do so. I'm willing to order some, please message me if you are interested.

    Hi,
You may get a better response in the ‘Non Precious Metals’ section!
Having said that, the bun-head Young Victoria is one of my favourite obverses
Leonard Charles Wyon’s portraits, were better than his Father’s IMO….
Photo shows the classical Young head portrait by William Wyon, next to his eldest son Leonard’s ‘Australia’ Sovereign. For comparison the ‘bunhead’ farthing is also shown, by L.C.
Good- luck with your date run.🙂

Some nice 1989's showing up! Not jealous at all!
Need to try and save up and get one.
Keep buying sovs from my local coin guy, just not 1989's! 😭😅
My first South African, shame it wasn't an Australian from this year. Decent enough coin for a bit under spot though. 🙂

My Pistrucci Great Engraver finally arrived. Just the wee 2oz Silver. Delighted to say it is absolutely spot on. Notwithstanding the obligatory detritus in the capsule!
It really is a peach of a coin, superb presentation too - I wonder why can't RM do this consistently though?

It's Fine. OP can sell to whom ever he want's Just felt it was a bit of bad form. No ill feelings to @BackyardBullion Think he's genuine and may have not even known about the auction. It was up for sale prior. But why cancel the auction if it went in the end for my starting bid.
