There are lots of the "Don't tell my wife" types of tropes that tend to spring up around any hobby / passtime that involves spending money.
I feel they can 'tarnish' the reputation of stacking / collecting / investing as an activity - making it out as something that can't be enjoyed and explored together; but it also cheapens the relationships themselves. It's the same as the welcome mats and door signs designed for Amazon and UPS deliveries... "Hide packages from husband."  Surely, we can do better?
 
Anyway, in completely unrelated news, I had my first experience of an online Precious Metals auction today. For God's sake, don't tell the wife!!

I have for sale these two handsome sets of sterling silver ingots from Royal Mail
 
Set 1 is silver versions of 6 Edward VII and George V stamps. 
This set is new and sealed and ingots look to be in mint condition with no toning. Outer box has a couple of marks on the back
Total of 146.15g of sterling silver in the set

Set 2 is the Victoria stamps
One of the ingots has a dark toning spot, another appears to have been handled with a couple of fingerprints on the back and some edge toning. Otherwise in excellent condition
