This is the last in the King Arthur set, but I would expect there to be a 3rd series of 3 coins in the Myths and Legends Collection after this. But before that they might release proof versions of the Robin Hood Collection which have only been available as bullion before.

Wink, wink!  Gotta have those connections!  Spend more, wine and dine, and shower them with nice Christmas presents.  That will allow you to become an ersatz U.S. citizen just to purchase the coin.

Just to add a bit more to the mystery, the reverse proofs available in the U.S. through GovMint have a different label - Tower Bridge rather than the photo of Charles.

Both the gold and silver RP look awesome.  I decided to bite the bullet and get the silver because it just looks too good for me to pass up.  Plus, not knowing the mintage of the RP (it’s part of the total proof mintage), I was afraid it would sell out quickly.

I got both the Morgan and Peace uncirculated dollars via subscription.  I will also be getting the proofs and reverse proof set.  They are simply beautiful coins.    The US Mint's subscription program is saving us a lot of grief here.  The flippers used to make it impossible for us collectors to get the coins we want.  The Mint solved the problem for many of its coins with the subscription program.  It's great!
And, yes, I collect coins from the UK, too!  QC issues aside, there are many absolutely beautiful coins.  The problem I have with the RM is that they produce way too many issues.  There are times when my head spins from all the issues (aside from my wallet being emptied).  I collect whatever appeals to me, particularly the British Monarchs, Sovereigns, Great Engravers, Coronation series, British music, Queen's Beasts, etc. - all in silver.

And the sticky glue would be so strong that it would be next to impossible to get it off cleanly.  The QC team takes their work very seriously!

They'd likely stick it on the front of the slab...

You need to understand, however, that the slabbed coin comes in a wood case with the Royal Mint logo on top.  That alone makes it worth it!

I use a 10x loupe. Usually sufficient. For these coins it was enough. 

Yep. I saw some issues through the loupe but figured it would be pretty much a godsend to get a 68 or 69. It is what it is. I also sent in a 2014 1/40 and that also got a 69 so not a bad grading result. Given my other coins were all Victorian half sovereigns getting AU and low MS grades I can’t complain too much!

I believe you are absolutely correct.
It’s really strange why the RM did this though, because so far they have always marketed and sold the reverse proofs distinctly from the regular proofs. This is a first.
