  1. In fact it’s not the link that’s broken, your sovereign page is missing as my shortcut to it on the phone brings a 404 as well.
  2. @LawrenceChard @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer If you go to gold in your top menu and select sovereign you get a 404error
  3. 101% of spot! Are you mad? I’d buy every sovereign going at that. If you have 100 for sale, I’ll throw in the wife as a Brucie bonus 😀
  4. Awesome spreadsheet @Silverlocks. @ChrisSilver what’s the chance of converting this into a webpage on the forum with a live spot price? 😀
  5. I recon it's the release of the 2023 Britannia. They sure know a lot about them 🙂 https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/in-stock-gold/2023-uk-britannia-1oz-gold-coin-(1)
  6. Not true apparently but something is happening over there. https://www.opindia.com/2022/09/rumours-of-military-coup-in-china-and-arrest-of-xi-jinping-turns-out-to-be-false/amp/
  7. Minty sovereigns page https://www.chards.co.uk/bullion-sovereigns-minty-condition/12649 “If you want the latest year, please see our 2021 sovereigns”.
  8. Finishes in 57mins, don’t worry though, he has an identical listing with the same photo! and it’s only £1 start rather than £5. Has another 3 identical listings with identical photos but for a couple of quid could be worth a punt lol
  9. If the sender states the wrong code then it’s nought to do with shipping agents or customs, they are just following their sop’s. If that’s what the paperwork says then that’s what it is unless they decide different. Which they are not going to do in this case. A. it’s just a coin as the paperwork says and B. rarely do they reclassify something that declares a VAT liability to something that doesn’t. As a company we could just offset this if it happens and stick it on our deferment account but as an individual I presume you’ll have to contact your equivalent of our HMRC in your country and fill in a claim form.??
  10. Yup, wrong commodity code ”Coin (other than gold coin), not being legal tender” https://www.trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/commodities/7118100000
  11. This is the only forum I’ve had the option of 2fa and yes I would recommend it. All I had to do was download a little app on the phone. With the amount of cybershit going on at the moment and what we are possibly spending with fellow members and hence our pm’s it’s a no brainier.
  12. You don’t need to pay here to play. I decided to become a paid member after a couple of months looking around and have saved myself much more than my membership fees in my 5ish? Months of being a member from buying from other members on here.
  13. Received a few weeks ago but just got around to photographing today, a lovely 2016 Chronos from the Pressburg Mint in Slovakia from @Yorkshiremanc for the Christmas Draw. Cheers Mate.
  14. The duty rate on silver imported into the UK is 0% I believe so there would only be VAT added. Silver commodity code 71069110 https://www.hs-codes.com/?c=71069110-silver-bullion-and Government Duty Rates https://www.trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/headings/7106
  15. Nope. Gold is still the dentist’s preferred choice of material if the patient can afford it because it is very malleable, does not corrode and is very similar to the hardness of natural teeth. 🦷
  16. Shame the mint WB used closed in 95. You never know, it might have been bought out and records still exist?
  17. They must of used the 50th birthday boxes for other coins then. https://bid.auctionbymayo.com/lot-details/index/catalog/18075/lot/2532335
  18. Should it not be this coin in that box? Maybe this is from the same set? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia262270.html

  20. I'm playing with mine tonight. Only using an iphone but got a cheap £20 macro lens off of amazon. Below is where I've got to on a 2021 sovereign, just need to sort out a diffuser to photograph through to loose the reflections. Also using a stand for the phone to keep it steady.
