  1. Just look at the sales on this forum to see what is liquid! Bullion sovereigns all the way. Always has been and always will be.
  2. https://www.export.org.uk/news/603013/Queens-Awards-winners-2022-export-victors-praised-for-resilience-and-ingenuity.htm might be worth an email
  3. What happened on Friday morning? Never seen that except for weekends!
  4. Swiss watches changed to 925 in 1914 to match our standards. Anyway, that’s a British import hallmark. There is the standard mark, the town mark for London and the date letter b for 1917/18
  5. @James32 vacuum cleaner blew a fuze and he told them to pause spot while he got it repaired. That’s the power of high rollers 🤑
  6. It was then I knew I had been rumbled. Sovereigns all look the same and I’d hoped she thought it was the same one coming back from repeated restoration. An icy chill swept slowly over the room. The wife had found the stack.
  7. 100% agree @Bogart, might get the grit blaster out and dull mine down a bit 😂
  8. Am I missing something? I only stack sovereigns for the gold but would like to start collecting. What in hells bells is there to like about this? ( closeup from MrStacker above)???!!!
  9. @LawrenceChard. @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer
  10. Had a couple of Charlie 50p’s in the change over the past few weeks.
  11. Looks good to me. Have you done a specific gravity test?
  12. Sovereigns here. Always thought they would be much easier to liquidate when required. Just look at how many have been sold here already this year, must be in the 1000’s!
  13. What a shame. Just received my first couple and maybe it’s just my eyes but it looks like an old coin I’ve just picked up off of the road that’s been run over a few dozen times. Can’t really see the design as it’s so small and cluttered.
  14. I bought this when I was 16 and in the 28 years I’ve had it must of had 10’s of thousands of 2p through it. I’ve always kept an eye out for different or non uk ones and amazingly I’ve only ever come across 6! Do you think the lack of foreign muck is because people just don’t cross borders with coppers in their pockets or because there are just so many 2p’s in circulation that they are just so diluted. Compare these to euros passed in place as pound coins which must have already happened twice this year to me.
  15. It’s the details that don’t match that you want to pay attention to and study.
  16. “But that doesn’t happen anymore, unfortunately” 😂😂😂
  17. On the forum I recon we’ll be seeing £430 commonly by July 😳
  18. 4 coins from Chards (2 sovereigns and two others) Sovereigns at £398.07 plus postage ……… so,…….. £399.57 each delivered
  19. Because in 4 weeks time gold was cheap today…….. To da moooooooon…….. 😂😂😂
  20. Has anyone heard anything about these? Last I heard they were going on pre-sale tomorrow at the mint. I was expecting the usual mass emails but believe I only got one and that was weeks ago!
  21. Hope they don’t stop 2p’s, collected quite a few over the years 😂
  22. But surely it wouldn’t matter as at that would be part of production?
