Firstly I must thank two lovely chaps @Clockpuncher for selling me this beautiful coin and @GoldDiggerDave for his grading prowess.
When I saw this gorgeous coin today I was struck by her gentle strength and was reminded of Édith Cavell.
Edith Cavell was a British nurse during WWI working in Belgium, she assisted 200 men to escape and return to service on the front. For this she was executed by firing squad in 1915. A wonderful calm, gentle woman.
Of all the coins that we own and my own coins, this is my favourite and to me represents something very special indeed 💛

Though Philip is known for the iconic original Britannia which we have all come to love he also created 4 other incredibly beautiful 1 year designs in 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005

Today I received a gold half proof sovereign I've wanted for ever, it cost more than I wanted to spend but they don't come my way very often, condition looks great to me, sorry about the poor photos, I can't do this design justice with my cheap phone, but I give you the 1989 half proof sovereign.. 

A big tick in the box for my collection today 🤩🤩Pf62. Not perfect but it’s mine 😗👌

King Tut as 3oz silver in Ultra High Relief, I love pieces like this. Maxe wishes all of you silver crazy people a relaxing weekend.

I have this one too, ungraded. I absolutely love the WWyon G&dragon. Not a fan of the portrait. I hope the RM do this for the next engravers 

As a reminder of our good and also beloved D - Mark, the Bundesbank issued this beautiful gold piece in 2001 in an edition of 1 million pieces. There are 5 mints in Germany, A=Berlin, D=Munich, F=Stuttgart, G=Karlsruhe and J stands for Hamburg. Here I present the mint A for Berlin. These coins are each made of 999 gold and have a weight of 12g. The price per coin was 250 DM at that time. Today, such a gold piece is easily worth around 700 to 800 euros.
So you should have bought earlier, but I wasn't ready then. Maxe wishes you all a pleasant day.
The complete series with all mints has been in my possession for a long time, so I did not receive it today, I cheated, please forgive me. 🥂
