  1. Not like a personal recommendation, but this looks pretty OK: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.ukbullion.com
  2. Excellent idea, whilst there is a wealth of knowledge here; it can take a while to find the type of information to which you refer 👍
  3. Yep, managed to grab a few sovs I had ready in a basked in the event it dropped below £1580; I'm sure H M R C won't mind ......................................
  4. 16th Jan this year. I've increased my potential low point to £1580 now, and have no great expectation of it staying down there for any consequential length of time, maybe not even a full trading day once everyone has paid tax and other mandatory January outgoings; I have both properties and a trade insurance in Jan, in addition to the 31.01.24 tax payment date, so glad I balanced the bulk of my PM's portfolio last year.
  5. I have revised my view FWIW and whilst expecting trading dips back to ~ £1580; currency aside - nothing much below that, nor for any meaningful length of time.
  6. He still at it: A 1oz Pamp now - there's even feedback on these Chinese websites as to which are the most realistic: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355399100796?hash=item52bf6fe97c:g:4LQAAOSw-v1lrOI9 Disgraceful.
  7. This guy has been having it off big time: Over £2k profit and some poor buyer still unaware he has (at best) some very thinly coated brass packaged ...
  8. Thanks both; I don't usually look at too many halves, but prices predicate that direction. When the box of RM error £99 1/4 sovs arrived this morning, I had to put reading glasses on ...........
  9. Very sensibly priced. - looks like she fell of her horse that day..... It'll be gone this weekend. GLWS.
  10. Which is the mint named on papers/boxes ?
  11. It's a good idea to just type out a letter each tax year, even when you don't have the actual funds, gifting family members £3,000 / per tax year. Then, in later life, assuming your finances improve in later years, you can utilise those old letters and gift more money free of tax. CGT exempt - but not IHT exempt - big difference. As above, I 'paper gift' on an ongoing basis; such the death duty - if we call it what it is - is reduced as far as is possible.
  12. Is this still the alleged Gold price thread ................ 🤔
  13. Waste of time reporting, this was the reply from another thread where the guy was selling moody sovs and not actually stating they were gold: Thanks again for reporting the listing(s) you found. What happened: We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence. If you reported content that isn’t listed below, we’ll send a separate email once we’ve made a decision.
  14. Those countries selling oil to China and being paid in Yuan is increasing by the day, more comodities are likely to follow as USD falls out of favour. Many of those countries currently then use their Yuan to buy/trade gold on the Shanghai Gold Exchange. I can envision a day with BRICS representing 80% of global population, when the Shanghai Gold Exchange overtakes Comex & LBMA - then manipulation by Western banks will be heavily stifled.
  15. BBP still in stock @ £476 d'd.

    closed Blunder

Clearly Blunder is a fraction per/oz when compared to Platinum.................
  17. Considering gold is such a mature and vastly bigger asset than Bitcoin: Physical Gold = ~ $13 TRILLION Bitcoin = ~ $ 850 Billion I am highly sceptical, especially considering the high % of Bitcoin within the above said $850 Billion which is lost/forgotten/locked out of wallet/s, will have any great consequential bearing on Gold price.
  18. Well that was a damned waste of time - AI allowing these types of scammers to con hundreds of pounds: "We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
  19. Far too small for my taste, but useful for small balancing barters and gifts to younger family members. Mine also being dispatched today, great tip that one - thank you to OP.
  20. I have 3 x 1oz A Gold Eagles I want rid of, would do one or more of those at spot as I don't keep any non CGT exempt coins, except a date run of Buffalos.
  21. I had a number of issues with Lloyds, but now find if I put Inv before any description it goes through without issue on both accounts. I'm working in the assumption their robots assume Inv = Invoice, as I get far less of the dumb questions now and no blocks for a long time.
