New RM James Bond Issue. Underwhelming

Recommended Posts

Definitely underwhelming.  They seem to have stopped releasing the bullion versions too - unless I'm mistaken, I think they've only released the Films of the 60s coin as bullion so far.

I think the 60s coin is the best design so far.  Thankfully for my wallet, I'm not collecting this series at all.

I'm beginning to wonder about the Tudor Beasts series. 6 releases in proof and only 4 thus far in bullion. Wonder if they'll go the proof only route moving forward?

I've been waiting for the Tudor Dragon coin to come out in bullion so that I could buy it at the same time as another coin that I want to add to my collection (and the rising price of gold hasn't helped...) so I'd be mighty annoyed if the RM cancelled this series in bullion too.  They'd be absolutely mad to do that, it would destroy any remaining trust that they have.

Auragentum (German dealer) has a note to bullion coin, that there will be 2 issues per year. So seems like RM has chosen the different pace for bullion release vs proof. That's even may be quite "logical" as otherwise there'd be "too many" bullion releases at the same time, but of course it would be better if it's clearly communicated.
