Double Memorial Bullion Gold Sovereign

Hello,

 

Just wondering if the royal mint will be producing the double bullion sov anytime soon, I looked around on google but the only double I could find was part of the proof sets. Perhaps they might be coming out later in the year?

I was going to get a full memorial sov, but with the design being so busy, I thought it might be a better idea to save a little and buy a double. I know no where seems to sell them yet, and I don't see anyone talking about them.

Ah thanks, I somehow missed that. Although they are out of stock.

Yeah think I'd prefer to buy from Chards than the royal mint.

Our understanding is that the Double Memorial Sovereign will not available wholesale from the Royal Mint. We could well get some pre-owned ones coming in and can let you know if we do. Thanks.

Out of curiosity. What size capsule do you get for a double sovereign?

I bought a 27mm for a 1/2 oz gold Britannia and it didn't fit.

I'm no expert, but checked on Chards and they say the correct capsule is 29mm

On air-tites I use a H28 capsule.

The bullion coins keep going out of stock and becoming available again.

I’d keep checking every few days. These aren’t limited mintage and it’s early days yet. 🙂

I didn't find the double bullion in Germany so far. It's a low market over here, so I guess I will have to order from RM. Not sure if I go for the blister or not.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on it, but I'll probably end up waiting for other online dealers to stock them, or hold fire and get a few of the King's coronation sovs. It's weird though, I was expecting everyone to be selling the double sovs by now, not just the RM.

Thanks, any reason why? Plenty of online dealers had the 2022 PJ double for sale.

Sorry but the Royal mint didn't give us a reason. They just said not available via wholesale.
