Don't get ASE's. They used to be reasonably priced in the past but since Silver Squeeze the prices edged up and up. There are shortages of ASE so premiums are high. Now they are too much.
i would stick with whatever silver coins are good value - so no specific coin just whatever you see that is good value.
i would also get some half and full sovereigns. Plenty come up on the forum selling section. Since Brexit in the UK you can't easily access the cheaper silver coins in Europe so unless you see well priced silver on TSF i would now switch over to gold.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

Although I like silver, you pay a higher premium than for gold, plus VAT.

IMO gold is a better investment.

Buying silver coins will give you more pretty coins to look at for your money, but you are paying for the privilege.

Nothing much wrong with Britannias, and no good reason to prefer US silver eagles.

Whenever I see "ASE's" or even "ASEs", I think "Asses", or even ARSES which are often rated as more desirable.

@sixgun is right about gold!

If you wouldn't mind, what would you call well priced silver at the moment? <£20 per oz?

Looking at the selling section of the forum i see recent lots that have gone up - there is a member who put up some Britannias "25 x 2022 1oz Silver Brittanias £530 + postage." - another was "2013 silver Britannias mint sealed tube £450 delivered"

These seem a decent price. You are really going to struggle to get decent coins for under £20/oz. You can get old circulation 50% coins for less - certainly less than £20 and you might find some more collectible coins in a lot but in general they aren't much collected, hence there isn't much premium.
