wo wo wo , just wait a minute , can i just check  here , whats the view on maples on here ? i know its the lowest price generic but i thought silver forum members preferred other coins, i know ounces are ounces, and i like the maples , i just thought they were sort of frowned upon , like silver rounds

Some people especially "collectors" don't like maples because of the milk spots. But the fact they are one of the worlds most sold silver 1oz coins indicates that "collectors" are in the minority, and that the "stackers" love 'em

Nice! I love 2014 maples. Cheapest silver coin we can get in Europe. 9999 instead of 999. The 2014 design is a harder target for fakers making them more liquid because novices can buy on the secondary market with greater confidence. 2014s seem less susceptible to milk spots too. I like the design too... Except for the planet of the apes queen.

Well that's it, markets closed for the weekend. It's now sitting at £10.95. You've all got the whole weekend to ponder "do I buy now...or will it drop further next week"

:D

pretty low if i do say so myself

I thought it would stay over £11

Maby it will shoot back up next week or go under the £10  :o

I'd like the markets to close tonight with silver and gold under £11.50 and £760.    That would give me the weekend to contemplate making an order.  I know what I want/need but it's whether I should or not.

Amazing what can happen in a week. Now Silver at £10.95 and Gold at £746.53

I’m a little short on funds at the moment or i would have pushed the button today, but ive been buying pretty heavily this month, ive got 47 oz this month already.

as for maples, you do need a little low premium to offset the fancy bits in your stack, but at a 50 pence more, you may aswel go for somali elephants, liberatad, noahs arks, PM Crocs, anything that is a pure bullion coin. but buy what you like.

Good advice silversward.

I predicted this would be the bottom of the dip and made a large order over the weekend. OK, it fell a little this morning apparently, so could have save a few quid, but basically i is back up again now, and prices are already above what I paid.

I started to stack in '12 so have a lot of work to do on my £ per Oz average! lol

I think this is a bounce, I don't see it dropping again this week. Just a hunch, but I think if you bought this last few days you did well.

Of course there is a lot of uncertainty in the political situation at the moment, so who knows!?
