Good stuff. I'm glad I sat Buckingham out though to see others experiences first. Even for the value sovs, I couldn't have handled the wait you lads are going through.

I saw this on google reviews (last one from steve sharp) so it must be in their T&C

We have swiftly amended this review reply, as i think there was an unnecessary comment in there that was bad form.

I've been refunded. So I'm happy about that.

We understand the reason why you wanted a refund and we would like to offer the opportunity for you to re-purchase at the same rate £259.99. Only if you felt comfortable enough to trust us. We would have the order sent out as a matter of priority. our current sales is at £279.99. info@buckinghamcollection.co.uk just send us a quick email and we can offer instructions from there.

I was in contact with some of the directors of The Buckingham Company and they have acknowledged this topic and their communication with some customers regarding the late delivery of some orders. They have taken the time to join The Silver Forum so that they can directly respond to their customers who are also members here.

They have made a very generous offer for all of the members of TSF who were affected by the late delivery times. Please see the topic here:

Please read the above topic, you can also welcome The Buckingham Collection in their welcome topic found here: https://thesilverforum.com/topic/23538-the-buckingham-collection/

Reading the other thread, they have apologised for the late deliveries and are making ammends, as well as implementing a new customer service strategy. Providing compensation for SF members who were adversely affected is commendable.

Hopefully the Buckingham Collection continues in this new direction and if so I wish them well.

Regards

Rich

For those who managed to navigate their awful website without it crashing, and actually ordered some cheap sovs, have any of you received your coins yet?

We have been experiencing hosting issues which caches the website and causes issues. All website issues will be sorted by 01/08/2019

My issue was the lack of communication from yourselves, in spite of my numerous emails, and the lack of an apology.

I had over £450 sitting in your bank account for over a month. Money that I could have spent elsewhere, or at least sitting in my account nice and safe.

Perhaps if I had been offered some sort of compensation, then I might have given you guys the benefit of the doubt, and put it down to teething problems of a new company.

As someone who has worked in the retail sector for nearly 40 years, I can honestly say you need to up your game big time, and put customer service first. Without it you are nothing. You also need to scrap this 7-30 day delivery process. Every bullion company I deal with can get a coin to me within 72 hours of me placing an order, and you should be aspiring to match this.

If you are prepared to compensate me for the stress and time spent on trying to get either the coins I bought, or my refund, then perhaps I would consider you as a company worth dealing with.

The ball is firmly in your court. And you are more than welcome to use the message facility on this forum if you wish to converse in private.

The user name confused me.

I thought it was my old buddy from Brum who was posting?!

So just to keep people updated. I made a small purchase of two half sov but BC phoned me today and cancelled my order saying that i had already used my yearly bullion allowance as a previosly bought 2 sovs. Yes, i did purchase several months ago when they first started advertising and yes i did receive them after a few weeks wait. So i didnt try to claim a free half sov. I guess at least they had the courtesy to phone me and explain the situation. So i will look out for my refund!

A gold coin dealer limiting customers to a yearly allowance of one or two purchases seems really strange.

Not when the coins are priced below or at spot. BC are selling some coins at a low or negative margin in order to build a customer base, not be a unsustainable company.

Many companies limit the number of times the same customer can benefit from 'introductory offers'

Hi thanks for your feedback,

It is very common practice to offer a coin at the best price on the market at a loss to bring in customers. This is not our only coins advertised, however we limit orders per household as it is a promotional loss designed to bring in custom.

So its been more than a week and ive still not had my refund since Buckingham Collection refused my order. I think this is the whole reason why people get frustrated by the quality of the customer service. It should not take that long. I suspect i'll have to send a formal complaint email or contact my credit card company. Anyone got any tips on how to proceed in this instance???

They have probably seen this post but I would suggest a PM direct, you can then see when or if they have read it.

ONLY fair and industry standard practice!

However!

I put in 2 orders the other day - and had a very reasonable chat with a nice chap,on the phone , the following day - who fairly explained - " 1 per household" - I had not seen this "made obvious" anywhere - when I placed first order - the website confusingly showed a drop box intimating a number greater than 1 COULD be ordered - as this box would not change - i placed one order , then proceeded to place a second order - I HAVE 2 Grand-kids - Hey ho - so I will arrange to have another purchased through another avenue!

But in between times - I have funds , now O/s , good job I have a LARGE credit facility otherwise I may have become rather awkwardly compromised.

Please "BUCK's" - tidy up your info dissemination and web site - before you hurt the industry, hobby, or less able individuals.

I have a had a very nice "customer care" follow up call this morning - with respect to my hiccup - as above post

The gentleman (Aaron) was a credit to the @TheBuckinghamCollection

It appears that they are working hard at the customer relations SO FAIR PLAY!  IMHO

We had a rather good chat and it transpires that they are "likely" to have some nice proof sovereigns appearing at some point.  Keep eyes on at least!

And just a note for those a little late to the superb - "loss leader deals"  - -

because of NO DOUBT (my opinion) unprecedented demand

THE PRICES HAVE RISEN!  - as I have verified myself on the  website

https://buckinghamcollection.co.uk/all-gold-coins/

Just for INFO - - I can assure TSF - I am NOT an affiliate  or any other connection WHATSOEVER!
