Hi Guys,

I'm taking my first foray into silver whilst prices are relatively low.  I'm only 22 and am looking to stack modest amounts of silver as a long-term investment - whilst being prepared to disinvest if prices rocket and then wait until they inevitably fall again.

I've been lurking on the forum for a while and have found it really useful, so I thought I'd join and hopefully be able to contribute at some point.  I've started my stack with some Silver Eagles, a few Britannias that I managed to get at £2 each, and 5 of the 2015 Lunar Goats.

Tom :)

Hi, and welcome :) There has never been a better time to start collecting! Except for when I was 22! lol silver was £3.14 back then. If only I had spent all that cash on silver and not clubbing.

Nah! It was worth it - :D:P Clubbing FTW!!! I got some silver eventually! lol

1 x 1998 which is horribly toned and all the rest are sealed 1999s :)

98 was the first year that there was a bullion Britannia. The mintage was low and the coins are still in demand today, so although I cant see how badly it's toned, I'd still say don't dismiss it. The fact you got it for £2 just makes it all the nicer.
