TheShinyStuff got a reaction from Gruff in Today I Received.....
The first of the new 'Icons of Insporation' coins. From APMEX/Niue. Seen a couple on here already and missed the proof that @Jamesd listed which was stunning, but this one us special because its mine! Being a science guy these are right up my street. Also picked up the new Kook and a Phil, but no-one needs to see them...
My phone/photography skills dont do it justice, hope the rest of the series is as good.

Stunning coin coin. Very jealous, ever since noticing it had sold in about 10 seconds after posting I have been waiting to see whether it was yourself or @dicker that bought it. I have my answer now. Your gold collection is a thing of wonder!

A full 10 days after ordering this finally arrived from Atkinson's. My first half sovereign. Was hoping for a nice Gillick, maybe next time.
It's in decent shape I suppose and I do like the age of it and the idea of the hands its passed through. I tend to like most of my shiny to be, well, shiny. But this is nice.
Before Christmas I posted asking for opinions on where to go regarding small sized gold, couldn't decide between bars, tenths or half sovs.
Now have these and unfortunately I'm still none the wiser. Just have to keep buying and see where I end up. Skint probably!

After missing out on a 3G like many others, and waiting for what seems like forever on a half sov from Atkinsons, I picked up this Virtues coin from Silvertrader. First in a series of 6 I believe.
I think it is stunning. Must say I'm a fan of the EIC artwork, some of their coins are really underrated IMO. Such as...
Great quality for bullion, no spotting on any of mine. Looking forward to the next 5 Virtues.

Modest purchase during the price dip. Shame it happened the week before payday (or maybe that was a blessing, I'm not sure.) My first carded gold, wanted one just to see it in the flesh and to be fair I really like it! Just a tiddler at 2.5g, but nice and shiny!!!

A pair of 2015 20p definitive coins in platinum. Not a matching pair though, as one has the IRB portrait of the Queen, and the other has the JC portrait on the obverse.
Mintage for both is only 10!

Another chunk of my favourite metal from my favourite mint. Wasnt planning on buying with things being what they are at the minute, but couldn't help myself.
A beautiful 2006 2oz kook, some toning on the reeding where someone has been handling it, but otherwise in great shape.

A couple of pick ups I couldn't refuse at the price of spot + £8. Really chuffed with these.
Not only a nice thing in it's own right, but also a 2013 Maple with no problems!
1999 & 2000 Kooks in lovely box. Coins are perfect. That's about 10 I have now towards the ubiquitous kook date run
If I came across less of this I would have more success saving for gold. My lack of self control for shiny things is alarming!

My Pistrucci Great Engraver finally arrived. Just the wee 2oz Silver. Delighted to say it is absolutely spot on. Notwithstanding the obligatory detritus in the capsule!
It really is a peach of a coin, superb presentation too - I wonder why can't RM do this consistently though?

These are nice, absolute insanity premium-wise, but still nice. I bought a set months ago and planned to frame them, haven't got round to it yet. Maybe one day!

I didn't actually technically receive this, but... I went for a walk (local) with my dad and his dog today and we chatted for a while. He quite likes silver himself, in fact I got into it through him. On last weeks walk we got chatting about the Una & the Lion craziness. Today when we got back to his (I didn't go in, stood at the conservatory door with my mask on!) he said he had something to show me, then he produced this. Sorry about the photos but it was the best I could manage under the circumstances.
1kg proof. Gobsmacked. The most beautiful silver I have ever seen, let alone held. Great day!

Something a little different for me. Cheeky little 2008 1/20th panda and 1918 1/5th Peruvian Libre. Quite pleasantly surprised at the detail on such small coins. Both unc. condition. Lovely little things.
Thanks to @Leonmarshfor the advice, but now I have it in hand I think it's a keeper - at least for a while.

@Ashpope1603 I know it can be unnerving to begin with, but postage first to established members works. I can certainly vouch for @oddball for what it's worth, you will be paid on receipt of goods.

Bit of bullion. Couple of '58s. One might look a bit '53'ish but it's due to the photo-buggering-engine supplied free with all iphones.
