  1. 9ct Gold Diamond Solitaire Ring For sale is this very nice 9ct gold diamond solitaire ring. Maybe you’re thinking of popping the big question to your girlfriend. Maybe you’re already married and want to treat that special lady in your life. You know she’s worth it. Maybe you’re in the dog house and want to get out of it. Or maybe you’re one of our female forum members who just wants to treat herself. Look no further. Size: J Weight 1.3g - 1.4g (my scales flicked between the two) Hallmarked 375 (9ct). Unsure of hallmark year but I think it’s 1971. Diamond measures between 3-4mm across. Sold without box. Recommend getting the claws checked with a jeweller prior to wearing but all seem sound. £140 plus postage of choice. Reduced to: £130 plus postage of choice. IMG_3979.MOV
  2. 10oz Silver Una and Lion Bar A nice bar and a hefty chunk of silver. Sold in original mint packaging, which is unfortunately torn down one side, this is how it was delivered to me but doesn’t affect the bar. It would look much better in a capsule anyway.

  4. Rare 1889 Melbourne Jubilee Sovereign Marsh Rating: R3 - First Variety. (The rarest obverse of the Victoria Jubilee sovereigns) PCGS Grade: AU53. Marsh No. 133. Mintage: 54,652 (many likely to have been melted down given the very few graded) £692.00 plus HALF price SD. NOW: £675 plus Half price SD. If any prospective buyers would like to know the PCGS certificate numbers I’d be happy to share privately. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask or message. I’ve listed this coin on the forum before and have reduced the price but this is the last time this true sovereign rarity will be listed for a while.

  7. The few times I’ve had a look on their website I spend the whole time saying ‘How much!!’ 😆
  8. I’m glad I’m not the only one on the forum who uses Bullion By Post to see the gold price but never buys from them.
  9. Ring B now sold, ring A still available.

  11. The north tends to be forgotten about in mainstream media and in general, just look at HS…. never mind. 🙄 As I’m sure you already know.

    Gold for Stacking

If you’re in UK, sovereigns and half sovereigns make the most sense as of today.
  13. I had a general email from a big high street bank that I bank with a few months ago that said along the lines of, from September, if they suspect fraudulent activity in payments out of the account (good thing) they will decline payments, but also if they suspect payments into the account, they will also block them.
  14. Has Charles ‘rogered’ Sovereigns? No, I don’t feel he has. We have a King on our coins and soon to be bank notes for the first time in 70 years and also the sovereign coin will also have a King. But most likely none of us on this forum will ever see another Queen on the throne again. Yes, I know, I had to read that again after I wrote it and it sunk in. The following years will be, at least in most of our lifetimes, three Kings. My Guess: Charles III (We know) William V George VII Given his age, Charles III’s reign will likely be similar to the the reign of Edward VII, a long standing Prince of Wales in waiting. Charles takes that record previously held by Edward VII as the longest ‘heir’, in waiting in history. The last and the first monarch will always be popular, I suppose it’s down to the individual to make their mind up and history will do the rest. But, we are, wether you’re a collector or a stacker living through times of great change in the monarchy and society as a whole and I don’t think Charles has rogered sovereigns at all. Personally I think this may just be the ‘new’ that none of us are used to after 70 years.
  15. My mistake, I searched for ‘1919 Perth Sovereign’ but of course now realise some list as ‘1919 P Sovereign’.
  16. Three sovereigns for sale. 1963 - Gillick - Elizabeth II - £376 SOLD 1979 - Machin - Elizabeth II - £376 SOLD 1919 - Perth Mint - George V - £394 All sold as bullion sovereigns, both the 1963 and 1979 are nice examples. The 1919 Perth Mint has a slight edge knock by ‘Britt’ on the obverse but is still a nice example of an Australian branch mint Sovereign. All prices are plus postage of choice and will be supplied in plastic flips. Any questions, please comment or DM.

    Sovereign tattoo

Come on, own up Mr Chard.
  18. I wonder with this series that I haven’t yet bought any of if the interest will increase once we get into 2024/2025. The RM released this series and then quite early into it we had a change of monarch. Sometimes the release that nobody wants are the coins that everybody wants in the future. Less sales = lower mintage, but you all know that already. I hope.
  19. Someone may be able to help you with a second hand book but it is still available from Token Publishing. https://www.tokenpublishing.com/shop/product/8058/16
  20. I didn’t buy it or bid on it, it was the Marsh R5 rating that got my attention. It is quite worn but I still feel that someone got a bargain with it paying £380 plus commission and delivery.
  21. Final drop to £372 each, now around 3% over spot.
  22. @AndrewSL76 did you see the R5 sovereign in the latest CC sale? Somebody got a bargain, albeit a worn bargain.
