  2. I've just noticed, there is no Brexit SOTD Sovereign listed. When it was released, the controversial aspect of it was its price - £800. Did this put people off, or did they all sell out? From memory, I'm sure they did all sell out The strike limit was 1,500.
  3. I suppose for many of us, the Sovereign figures are the key ones:
  4. Didn't someone say that about 2023, 2022, 2021...
  5. Well! After the Paper to Silver ratio has consistently been falling since March (it got down to 165 to 1 a couple of days ago), it has now suddenly shot up to 423.26 to 1 !!! This is bizarre - and it does not seem to have had any impact on the spot silver price.
  6. Yes, not sure where you got this from, and as seen from the responses, many people are optimistic. Indeed, I've just seen this on the ZeroHedge website: Gold Prices Predicted To Hit Record Highs Of $2,300 In 2024 | ZeroHedge
  7. Yes, from 2009 the sovereign was issued without the streamer, but other coins in the series continued with it. I think the reason for doing this was to make sure the sovereign was readily distinguishable from the half sovereign because in reality there is not that much difference in size, and in pictures it may not be that apparent.
  8. My niece is getting married this year, and I will be giving her and her husband some gold, but it will be a nice 2024 bullion sovereign which I will put into a fancy RM box. So, they will get more gold 7.98g v 5.59g and it should only cost about £450 as compared to £530 for the gold sixpence.
  9. I didn't even know about this coin! Do you know the mintage?

  11. I shall probably get one at some point in the year - rather than the proof one which came out last year.
  12. The really sad thing is that anyone who knows about coins and the coin market could do a better job than them.

  18. Can I ask, how long ago did you buy it? If it is within the last couple of weeks, it would be reasonable to return it and get a refund. If it was bought months ago, I think the situation is a bit more tricky.

  21. Gold has closed the week above the important psychological $2,000 mark.
  22. The paper to silver ratio continues to fall. It is now below 200:1 - four weeks ago it was 224.44:1. Back in March is was 364.29:1. There continues to be no discussion of the phenomenon despite a 45% fall in the paper to silver ratio in the past 8 months.
