Norskgeld reacted to Spyder in 5 Bullion Half Sovereign (SOLD)
Good morning night owls or early birds depending when you are looking
Have for sale these 5 bullion half sovereign, excellent for the stack. One is 2004 and four are 1982 which is the first and only QEII bullion half sovereign in the 20 century. All others were proof only and the next bullion half did not get struck until 2000.
£983 Posted Cheaper than any online dealer selling 5 coin package. (SOLD 4 COIN PACKAGE)
Happy to inform that there is now a Jellewers in Hatton Garden now using one of my gauges after showing him how quickly it was to check for size and thickness.
I have two gauges left until my next print run available for £15 each or £10 if bought with the coin package.

Norskgeld reacted to DuncanWylieWilson in France 100 Francs 1879-A (Paris) – 'Lucky Angel' / 'Genie' – £1,850 Each – UK 🇬🇧
🇫🇷 For sale here are two stunning France 100 Francs 1879-A (Paris) – 'Lucky Angel' / 'Genie' gold coins 🇫🇷
Struck in the largest denomination for this eternally popular type, this French 100 Francs 'Lucky Angel' is adorned with a radiant golden lustre and sharp, attractive details. A very good, collectible example!
Also known to many as ‘a lucky charm,’ these gold Angel coins (primarily 20 Francs) of the French Third Republic were said to protect their owners from evil. This belief was apparently born out of a near-death experience by the coin’s designer, Augustin Dupré, when he fell out with the King of France and was sent to the guillotine, only to survive his sentence and walk free. There are many versions of many stories as to how exactly Dupré walked free, but the generally agreed account is that he bribed his executioner with his ‘lucky charm’ gold coin!
The obverse of these beautiful coins features Genius (guardian angel) writing the Constitution. The fasces, a symbol of power and authority, flanks Genius to the left and a rooster resides to the right. The French text reads ‘RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE,’ the English translation of which is ‘French Republic.’
The engraver mark of Augustin Dupré resides directly below the plinth upon which Genuis stands.
The reverse of these lucky charm pieces was engraved by Henri-Auguste Patey and features the denomination and date within a circular wreath.
The edge lettering reads ‘** LIBERTE * EGALITE * FRATERNITE’.
An exceptional piece.
Two coins available.
Price per coin is £1,850 GBP ($2,350 USD) and includes fully-insured worldwide shipping.
Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account, Cash App, or PayPal Friends and Family.
Individual photos and videos available on request.
Thank you! 🌟

Norskgeld reacted to Idkman in I just want to say, I got my first sovereign today.
With the recent gold dip, i got a "best value" full sovereign, I just wanted to get one if possible before xmas as i still figure out a plan for what im actually chasing next year.
I would take pics but i dont feel its required, but its a 2022 QEII the design i quite like actually even though im not fussed overall, looks like its new, not a single mark on the thing or wear of any sort, i was expecting something used so i could put my grubby mitts on it and play heads or tails.
The weirdest thing though, I actually feel something that i have one now, It just feels good to own heh.

Norskgeld reacted to sixgun in Roy is no longer the biggest loser on the forum!
i have bought a few proper pirate coins which will have been pricey per ounce but i don't count them in ounces.
i never stress about my coins and bars. i have never sold any, i have no idea what my average price is and i stopped counting how much i have several years ago.
No point really when it was all lost in a tragic boating accident.

Norskgeld got a reaction from Spyder in 1872 Half Sovereign Fake or Rare?
Hard to tell if it's 103 or 105.
I'm sure I hear now and again of a die number that doesn't seem to be documented.

Norskgeld reacted to Spyder in 1872 Half Sovereign Fake or Rare?
There are a lot of die numbers for this year and there will be many not seen yet. Are you sure your one is not 105?
@dicker is compiling a list of all known half sovereign die numbers so he will likely know
