Inflation isn't really affecting taxpayer funded groups, such as government workers/pensioners and benefit recipients as they have been receiving inflation protected rises.
Its just the mugs who work in the private sector who are feeling the pain.

I must admit the price action is fascinating at a stacker level.
I'm watching a lot of ebay stuff that is way over priced but I will be interested to see how many people start to reduce their PM's as Christmas approaches.
I've no doubt there will be many forced sellers over the coming months.

I agree that weak hands selling into strong hands is likely. It's all well and good having a little real money saved, but when one needs the money to survive, one must liquidate it.

TSF is not really representative of the wider market. The majority lately for gold have been selling so by default there's fewer buyers. The folks who sell regularly or rotate their holdings are also the biggest buyers when not selling, making it more noticeable when they're on sell mode. Otherwise yea, I get the feeling the plebs have reached budget thresholds, in fact I know they have. A scary stat says the cost of living crisis will have wiped out the savings for a lot of people by Christmas. That's assuming they were lucky enough to have savings in the first place. Other reports from various sources claim that 40-50% of people in the UK are planning on "cancelling Christmas" or seriously cutting back. If folks who don't cook and normally populate the restaurants and bars at Christmas can't even afford to do that, I doubt they're finding an extra £400+ for a sov or £1650+ for a Brit ☹️

I'm averse to prying eyes and overreach, nothing to hide just don't think it's any of their business what transactions I make in the future. I am guessing most on here feel a level of responsibility of being their own bank as you can't trust the mafia who hold your paper funny money and print it's value away. So that means we need to be extra careful so a valuable lesson learnt by me and an example of what not to do.

The price is irrelevant when you can't sell it, just take a look at the sale section.
